I have an Omega Seamaster Titanium. I never wear it overseas, period. I have a throw away watch I wear instead. If I'm deployed I wear a leatherman watch, with the tools built into the band. it's been useful a few times

Question for you guys - I don't drive my 04 TT cab very much, and even though the tires only have about 7k miles on them, they ride terribly due to flatspotting. Not sure what you would recommend - overinflate while it sits? I know the obvious answer is to just drive it a lot more, but life gets in the way - I've put on about 10k miles since 2012. The car is a keeper for me, just curious about this issue - when I do drive it's pretty miserable since I don't go far enough to even out the flat spots so it is feels crappy the whole time. Ideas? Anyone use those flatspot cradles I've seen advertised?

I wear a couple of Tags, Hamiltons, Seiko, Nixon, Tissot - little brother is into really fancy ones like Philippe Patek, and the like... frankly, my wrist value limit is about $5k and I cannot understand the value in wearing a watch that is worth 10s of thousands of dollars. As Pancing noted above, an easy way to assess your value is by looking at what is on your wrist.
When I travel outside of North America, cheap and nasty.

have you heard about the reverse argument of actually wearing your Rolex when you travel overseas? it was an article i came across a few years back...
...In dangerous areas, he relies on nice watches
... I always wear a “tradable” watch that can help get me out of a bind.

First, there are so many very convincing fake Rolex's out there I think the days of using them like currency are long gone.
Second, where exactly can you keep your Rolex as to not be flaunting it and always have it with you? Reminds me of a scene in Pulp Fiction.

Finally, it seems almost any situation that you would need to 'barter' yourself out of without legitimate payment methods would involve oppo that would simply relieve you of your barter-able goods without asking. Reminds me of another quote: "No matter how big of a bad-*** you think you are, remember there's a bigger bad-*** out there"

...In dangerous areas, he relies on nice watches
I was working on a project in Singapore, and an ex-[Special Air Service] soldier told me to always wear a nice watch: Don’t flaunt it, but have it with you. He had a stainless-steel Rolex and wore it everywhere. He told me that no matter where you travel, a good watch—like a Rolex—is like currency and is something you can always use to barter to get yourself out of trouble. You always hear “never have anything nice on expedition,” but that soldier’s advice was smart and practical so I always wear a “tradable” watch that can help get me out of a bind.
i've always used Leatherique and have had great success with it... i massage the oil into the seats with my hands and park the car facing the sun... check on it hourly and usually the reapply if the leather has absorbed all the oil and repeat until the leather doesn't seem to take anymore... with this method i've never had to actually brush the leather clean since the oils push all the dirt and grime to the surface... then a wipe down with the pristine clean and you have nice supple leather that doesn't stink of chemicals either...

Yes, this is well known. A nice watch = bail money. Additionally, it cannot be taken from you (per say). This is the tale of why most pimps wear lots of gold. You can take their money, not their jewelry.

And the quarter million dollar price tag does not dissuade me...
