finally got to drive the car since putting the 100 octane low lead avgas in it... loaded the stage 2 cobb OTS tune and my god the car is a different animal... there is zero hesitation and it pulls hard... i did a very quick 2nd gear into third and the car screamed but i ran out of road before i could see what the max boost was... i'll get the car out tonight after i put the kiddies to bed and the temps drop a little bit...
I keep forgetting that the non x50 have two stages of tune, should peak at 1.2/3
it was wet last night so i couldn't really get on it... but the one pull i quickly did hit 1.1 bar effortlessly... i ran out of space so couldn't stay in it... here's the funny thing, CEL popped on about 10 mins into the drive... thought ok no big deal it's probably the secondary O2 missing popping up again... the car didn't misfire or hesitate and boost was still strong... strapped on the Cobb to read the code this morning... when i saw a third code P1101... i thought maybe i blew out the MAF... i'll poke around some and clean the TB... for now i loaded the stage 1 back in since i haven't had a problem with that tune for over a month...
Fixed the floppy fuel door. Went for a drive. Made a shrimp boil for the family. Poured a heavy bourbon on the rocks. It’s all good.
nice. you're one margarita short of a jimmy buffet song.
add:
i just had to add ( back OT ). that whatever insanity is going on in the world today. my car is running perfect!
i was over limit on a long stretch and barely visible ahead parked underneath a tree 1000 yards beyond, lying in wait, was a local LEO. not CHP.
sharp eyed that i am, front and back, i was able to slow and feather my brakes so as to only pass him at approx 10 over limit. never let 'em see your brake lights when "correcting".
he gave me a pass. didn't want to give up his spot in the shade and u-turn in pursuit of an old guy i suppose...
cops are GREAT! blue lives matter - and God Bless America.

AMEN brother...
give yourself some credit as well, you were able to execute that perfectly because i'm sure if you were 15-20 over, he would have lit you up... sometimes i also downshift to slow down without braking but doesn't work well with an exhaust sometimes...

Would the same thing have happen if you were a minority driving an old beat up Chevy?
