Default If oil keeps on going thru the roof??

Spending capital that once was is no longer for the time being, until the "Great Valuation Reset" of the capital markets is over. And it will end. Best guess suggests that the younger buyer that was looking to enter the 996 market may be put on hold for a bit until their portfolios stabilize.

However, weakening 996 prices will create attractive entry points into the 996 market. Long term buyers better get them while you can. Speculators should go to Las Vegas. At least you will get free drinks.
yes some stocks have been beaten down, in my case Apple, Microsoft, Disney. On the other hand my biggest position is COP going thru the roof. I already have an early 99, I also have now the mezger 03 coupe. Maybe I need to buy
a 40th . I would love ❤️ to get a gts,, manual 997.2 in cobalt blue. Oil is going to continue to go thru the roof till august. Gas will cross $6 a gallon for regular. As I stated before no new refineries built in 60 plus years. As I said the solution is to build two new state of the art refineries on federal land. Don’t know how people in government don’t get it. Hopefully many people fill up and the price of gas keeps on drifting higher. I want a better improved house and possibly another toy.

Some people are realizing the root cause of the problem. As it is know refining is a real capital intensive business.

Still got over a 1/4 mill of COP stock to sell and I still have a huge position. This is going to pay for upgraded new house or a bunch of work pool in my existing home. If it goes high enough probably another p car.

Agree 100%
I get you now, some people try to say gray is in that family but you explained yourself well.

Just to be clear, I loved the 3.2 when I owned it, and I still prefer that body style over the 996, but driving is what's most important to me by far, and the 996 is just so much better. The main thing is that the 996 feels like you are tossing a light sports car around. The steering on the 3.2 was much heavier, to a fault in my opinion, and that combined with much less power, made the 3.2 feel heavier even though it is actually slightly lighter (35 lbs).

My favorite 911 to drive have always been the late 60's/early 70's 911 "e" model, which were really lightweight sports cars with a ton of power (much more so than the "s" in those same years in terms of usable power, even though the "s" produced more hp). The "911e" was my reference back when I had my 3.2, so the 3.2 felt heavy to me even in period. The 996.1, however, reminds me almost exactly of those early 911e's, right down to the peakiness of the power curve coming on hardest at high RPM. Of course, a 911e today, just like any vintage car, will beat you up a little after a few hours in the car, while the 996 has all the creature comforts of ice cold AC, cruise control, and is a lot faster than the 911e's. That's why I love the 996 so much.

I have a slate grey metallic 996.1 and I love the color. I had no idea they were so rare.

When I was in college I had a '79 Scout painted. I could pick any color I wanted from the catalog and I chose gunmetal grey. It's very close to the slate grey on my 911. I'm really happy I was able to get a color I loved on the 911 rather than black or silver.

It's so subtle that most people don't know it and the ones you who usually own a Slate car or know the entire 996 paint list by name.
