Right now i'm going to wait until the break in period is done 1000/1500 miles before i adjust it. KW does a lot of testing to what their preferred settings are right out of the box. 1st impressions are "i bet this is what the car felt like brand new" and "It just does exactly what it's supposed to do"
Bacon: Is the Porsche Sport exhaust a factory unit or aftermarket. I've been on the fence about getting a system. Thanks
it’s an oem pse system. I don’t have the vacuum line or the button installed because I run it always open. It’s quiet at idle and sounds meatier at WOT.

The reason I ask is because it took a loooooong… time to get mine dialed in. Not because it’s difficult, but I just needed to live/drive with it for a while before making little changes. FWIW, I think I started at around 9 clicks on the compression (around midway iirc) and 13 on rebound? I think these were the manufacturers rec’s… I quickly found that the rebound was way too fast/strong and lowered/reduced a click or two at a time until the car felt stable. I’ve since also reduced the compression a click or two all around and the car is really tight and responsive but not jarring over bumps, expansion joints etc.
A friend helped me install this (new to me) wheel.
It’s apparently an old 964 Cup wheel that was re-covered in thicker leather. It has great patina which works with my 25-year old interior.
I used the NRG short hub and a B G offset adapter. The tops of the voltmeter and oil pressure gauge are juuuuuust barely obscured. It is amazing how open everything feels compared to that brick of a 4-spoker. The car just feels racier and more nimble now. Maybe that’s my imagination but it sure looks cool.
Einsteiger, my car came stock with the sport mufflers, but the previous owner enjoyed driving in Chicago winters so the seams rotted out. I replaced them with Fisters and the sound is very much the same. I highly recommend Fister mufflers for every 996. The stock exhaust is way too quiet for me.

Sweet interior, but it's screaming for a console delete!!
