What did you do to your 996 today?

My set up is 225/40 ZR18 up front and 265/35/ZR18 in the rear. I've got two more track events this fall and then it's whatever for next year.
NTB says it's harder for them to get continental tires - and I don't have any problem switching to PS4s. I'm assuming I can just proceed with these? Any real reason to look at the PSS?
I'm 98%/2% street/track and this is my daily.
No complaints on the continentals, just looking for input.
Thanks for the advice, De Jeeper - I'll be doing my track focused brake upgrades after the "season" ends in november.

Many tire threads and opinions. U can easily go to a 285 in the back assuming a 10" rear rim. That may expand your choices? I think the ps4 is a great road tire and an ok track tire and that might be fine for u.

Cool. Thanks for the guidance. I'm not sure if my rear wheels are 9.5" or 10". I'll look it up before I order.

New hood shocks for the trunk, glass hatch (Targa), and engine compartment. Easy little projects. Next up, replace the plastic cowl and figure out why the rear spoiler in in-op (has power, and spins motor)

997-562-429-00-M24 and 997-562-430-00-M24 Stabilus, Ordered them here on Pelican. There is a left and a right, due to the defroster connections. They were around $80 each. Perfect fit.

Spent some time cleaning up the Idle Air Control Valve last night, and man was it grimy inside. I still have some more cleaning to do before I put it back in, but I'm confident this will eliminate the 2 codes (P1514 & P1551)

Glad to see there are OE/OEM options now. I ordered mine from Lift Support Depot, and at the time it was them or the laughably expensive Genuine ones.

Do you have to code out the airbag?
I guess you just make your peace with losing the airbag in a crash?

As regards losing the airbag, I'm 60, and in all honesty over the years I've owned/driven numerous daily driven cars and Porsche "toys" without steering wheel airbags, it's not something I've ever really dwelt upon. I think perhaps you guys across the Pond are more averse to the kind of modifications that could impact your safety and wellbeing, than my generation of Brits and Europeans ?
Not sure if you guys have legislation which dictates you HAVE to wear a seatbelt whilst driving in all 50 States ? It became mandatory in UK many years ago (1983) so that no doubt goes some way to reducing injuries in the event of an accident.
Recently introduced legislation in the UK has also made it difficult to retro-fit non-airbag wheels to cars originally fitted with them, they fail now fail the annual safety inspection (MOT) which is the equivalent of your DMV safety inspection.
