Here's my logic-
It does have going for it the SY color, xenon headlamps and aluminum package. But- No sport seats. The car is modded from sticker- 996 style 3-spoke steering wheel, yellow belts, wrong Carrera 4 aluminum door sills, drilled metal racing pedals, suspension change but without any significant lowering, badly scratched muffler tip undersides, scratched aluminum shifter and wheel road rash yet. Based on the 2 rock chips only, unfortunately prominent in location, the lack of any more front road damage or under dam damage suggests a front end repaint to me. We will see if the meter is telling.
I haven’t gone through it with a fine toothed comb, but that looks like a good one.
Original owner! It has an RS flywheel, which tells me it’s probably an enthusiast who loved the car. Large amount of documentation and a ton of pics from a beautifully done photo shoot. Presentation is everything on BaT and that one is very well presented. 60 pages of service records; 200 pics overall.
Buying sight unseen is nerve wracking. Having this kind of documentation/pictures and the security of buying a single owner car is worth a premium. I’m not shocked by this.
I went to look at this earlier today - car was perfect and I bid, but 91,000? They made 26,000 coupes for north america, hardly a rare car. I dont get it.
Heres an immaculate example of a Black/Black 1998 C2S 6 speed with Tequipment shift ****, E brake handle and Motorsound package. The only thing really missing is the hardback sport seats. Also there is a slight listing error, as it has standard Black calipers
Ready? It only has 8,980 miles and I will let you see the listed price for yourself

1 owner and super low mileage. What don’t you get? Most of these cars were driven daily and are in high mileage driver state if found. Now back to 993s…

Agree. That's actually a good price - you never see e46 M3s with low mileage like that. A lot of them seem ratty and worn out.
That C2s price is not surprising either. Any car <10k miles is going to be worth all the money.
That c2S listed for $250 sold for $130 out of prestige imports in colorado about a year or so ago. The S is oddly misplaced on the rear decklid. Last pic of the listing.
I remember the price in the listing and by the time I called it was sold.
