Slight exaggeration I would say. I googled the VIN and see the pics however they don't look near as bad as your above statement is making out to be!

I thought the same. Though flood damage is probably much more obvious in person than in poorly done photos.

I would not put much stock into how it looks. What I would want an honest answer about is what was exposed to the water and how far it was into the car. Maybe a copy of the insurance report where they totaled the car is the only source of an honest answer. Even water that is perfectly clear causes electrical connections to corrode and circuit components to swell and change values. We know how many circuit boards and electronics are mounted underneath the seats and how many wiring and instrument connectors are behind the dash. If any water reached seat level, no way would I spend 6 figures for this car.

Yep. PTS with carbon interior is a whole different kind of animal.

If one excludes the PTS and carbon pieces, this is an $80k car (NB, not exactly low mileage) even in today's prices, max!
Is 'exclusive' worth an extra $46k...?

Hindsight at 20/20, winner might have done himself better spending less to score that Guards Red in late Oct.
That again, his $$ his choice. Hope he finds us on this board.

Funny thing is everyone was excited about the carbon bits but they were not originally optioned on the car, but were added sometime after the fact. If the car were optioned originally with those bits it would have the following option codes:
  • X56 Instrutment Carrier Carbon
  • X57 Door Panel Trim in Carbon
  • X71 Aluminum Instrument Dials
  • Y05 Brake Shifter Carbon/Aluminum
  • It could have also had carbon packages Y04 (which included X56, X57)
None of these are noted on either the option tag nor the dealer/factory printout. Doesn't mean they aren't cool bits, but it should not be confused with a car that came with them from the factory.

Personally, no.

+$20k? Absolutely for something like Riviera or Turquoise Blue.

^Seems like a "lot" of seam sealer but at least the correct type and not spray can expanding foam.
