Nice car but that is not a tequipment shift **** or ebrake handle. It is just a normal C2S interior.

The "Silver Aluminum style" shift **** and E brake lever considered a Tequipment part since it is listed in the Tequipment catalog using a 964 Part # for use on all manual equipped 993's. You could have configured this specific part from the factory under the options code "X97 - Aluminum shift **** X98 -Aluminum hand brake lever" which is normally listed on the factory options code sticker and window sticker.

The Carrera 2S model is the only model from the factory that came standard with a Grey painted shift **** and e brake lever and it was very common to upgrade to the Silver or Carbon Tequipment version.

Both the shift **** and e-brake handle in my 4S appear to be aluminum/carbon fiber. Would this have been stock or something added by the PO? It looks like the shift **** in your photo. Sorry for the poor photo; parked in the garage under a lift.

indeed - I was just pointing out that the Copley car you had posted has the regular C2S grey ****, not one of the weighted tequipment shift *****.

Here is the weighted aluminum tequipment **** and ebrake in my C2S

@autobonrun if it isn’t on your options sticker, it was added by a PO

Thank you. Not on my options list, so it appears the PO wanted the aluminum/ carbon fiber look.

All good! The photos on Copley aren’t the greatest but I’m glad some of the confusion was cleared up. Another good detail that you pointed out is that the factory C2S shift **** is painted plastic and non-weighted where as the Tequipment version is weighted and has aluminum trim pieces glued on.

L39E is correct. It was the coveted item to have back then and even more rare and sought after today

Here is the options code in case anyone was wondering

X63 Carbon shift lever
X64 Carbon handbrake lever

X63/X64 are the full carbon tequipment pieces. I am not sure the option codes for the Carbon/Aluminum **** and ebrake. It’s pretty confusing, I have even seen different shapes of the tequipment full carbon *****. I bought a spare from a Rennlister and the **** is shaped different from the one in my car!

Here are the full carbon pieces. I’m not sure if my **** is different because of the full carbon interior..

It is very confusing indeed because some of the codes are different from early to late production models. Here are all the factory option codes for carbon parts and packages for the 993:

MY95
X47 Carbon gear lever ****
X56 Carbon dashboard trim
X57 Carbon door panel trim
X58 Carbon handbrake lever
X77 Carbon steering wheel, leather covered airbag module

MY96-98
X48 Carbon Tiptronic gear lever
X56 Carbon dashboard trim
X57 Carbon door panel trim
X63 Carbon shifter lever
X64 Carbon handbrake lever
X77 Carbon steering wheel, leather covered airbag module
XFA Carbon/Aluminum strut bar
XMC Carbon center console button panels
XMD Carbon panel of the center console (under handbrake lever)
XTA Carbon door openers
XTH Carbon door openers with "Turbo S" logo
E12 Carbon package incl. XMC XMD

I'd say that's fair based on what I think mine is worth.

looks like a very nice car. with 79k miles, i'm rather shocked by the $109k final price. $114k for a NB with nothing particularly special about it.
