Enough is enough just let it go . Buyer be ware. This site is changing to the worst. A sly salesman or dealership are nothing new. Our new on line police dept.

Appreciate your perspective but I'm actually interested in what he reports back since it determines whether I use his shop or not

Really not sure what he could possibly report that would change reality.

Caveat emptor - don’t say you weren’t warned.

I don't suppose you have a screenshot, do you? I saw some of the comments, and know generally something's up, but don't have specifics.

No.

Just read the terms

All vehicles offered for sale through PCARMARKET are sold "AS IS WHERE IS," WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR MERCHANTABILITY”

Vehicle Information provided by PCARMARKET is for convenience only. Members shall not rely on Vehicle Information in deciding whether or how much to bid on a vehicle purchased through PCARMARKET.”

“PCARMARKET does not make and expressly disclaims any and all representations, warranties and guarantees regarding vehicles sold through the Website.”

PCARMARKET does not guarantee that vehicles meet or can be modified to meet federal, state, or local emission and/or safety requirements. It is the sole responsibility of Buyer to ascertain, confirm, research, inspect and/or investigate vehicles and any and all Vehicle Information prior to bidding on vehicles.

“All Members agree that vehicles sold through PCARMARKET are sold “AS IS” and are not represented as being in a road-worthy condition, mechanically sound or maintained at any guaranteed level of quality.”

These terms go on & on & on for anyone to read.

Its a used car lot behind an auction. Anyone who thinks they are “buying the seller” or that it “must be a good car because its on PCar” needs to invest in a thorough PPI before before bidding. Anything less is a gamble. As we all witnessed with the Lamo Paramus 993 - what appears to be a perfect low mileage 993 with a clean car fax had major damage which was easily discovered with a basic PPI.

Pcar disabled my account after I pointed out problem cars. If auctions don't close they don't get paid.

Buyer beware but also seller beware.

I listed on Pcar once. They called me and told me I was “obligated to go through with a sale of my 911” when it did not meet reserve. There are several stories here on rennlist of this behavior from Pcar. I laughed when they called me with that BS - put them in touch with my attorney - and proceeded to sell the car to someone locally for $10k over Pcars high bid.

BAT has similar terms:

BATMEDIA IS NOT AN AUTOMOBILE BROKER, DEALER OR TRADITIONAL AUCTIONEER AND WE DO NOT SELL, EXCHANGE, BUY, OR OFFER FOR SALE, NEGOTIATE OR ATTEMPT TO NEGOTIATE, A SALE OR EXCHANGE OF AN INTEREST IN ANY VEHICLE LISTED ON THE DIGITAL SERVICES. BATMEDIA HAS NOT EVERNEVER: (I) HELD TITLE FOR ANY VEHICLE LISTED ON THE DIGITAL SERVICES, (2) INSPECTED ANY VEHICLE LISTED ON THE DIGITAL SERVICES OR (3) HAD ANY VEHICLES LISTED ON THE DIGITAL SERVICES IN ITS LEGAL POSSESSION.”

These sites post photos and a description and thats about it.

Default Didn’t take long

For the $200,000 threshold to be reached by nice examples of C2S. And that one was nothing special for options either.

I’m grateful to have bought my car when I did. One of the few times I’ve actually been able to time a market.
