100%. One of us will have to be the guinea pig. I'll donate funds towards this even if the "fix" doesn't include claimed detuning...

Best,
I believe all cars are (that are listed by model in the PCNA information). I am sure that when some of the people have called the dealership service departments inquiring about this, they just have checked against the recall search and then told the owner “your VIN is not included” as that database does not list the cars affected by the Stop Sale order. Lot’s of confusion (on dealer side as well) and speculation. According to some posts, the dealers were provided a VINs of the cars affected that were in their inventory at the time (not a total list of all VINs in the US).

i don't recall Porsche saying that Sport Chrono was supposed to add HP. i thought the numbers were 350 HP base, 400 HP for the S, and exclusive power kit added 35 more HP

Another re-hash of the recent (Jan. 27) Business Insider article: https://www.motor1.com/news/482893/p...ive-emissions/

Let the speculation continue...when do we think Porsche will release the fix?

Correct. SC does nothing for HP. PowerKit adds 30 HP.

The lad saved Porsche mate!

right, so "fixing" software of impacted SC cars shouldn't remove any HP either.

Correct. The fix would likely just make SC mapping more street driving friendly, with non WOT shifts below redline. Likely something between current Sport and current Sport+ modes. If they pay us for that, and you are not using your car for track use, it may create a fun, more usable mode for the street.

If your car has a manual transmission instead of a PDK, Sport+ mode is already quite usable for the street.

You do realize you can manually change gears in the PDK in Sport+ as well, don’t you?

Of course. I guess you didn't understand that I was responding to your comment about using Sport+ with a PDK in full auto and how a fix might make it more street-friendly in that mode, or did I not understand your comment?

Looks like a clubsport model with the plaque on the glove box door. That is also a picture of a 997 not a 991.
