Ok. But how does that pertain to my example?

I asked my dealership to run my VIN. They confirmed no recalls, no open campaigns, and no Stop Sale Order.

Thank you. I'm interested in hearing more from your explanation.

All I have is the attached which is what Porsche circulated to dealers.

I called my dealer today, he looked it up, and believes my car is impacted.. My VIN didn't show any open campaigns however, since he believes it to be affected, he stated that I'd be receiving a letter in the mail once the "software update" becomes available. If I wanted to sell the car now, I would need to 1-800 PORSCHE and have them walk me through that process to do so while there is in fact a stop sale campaign in place.

I'm not looking to sell, but that's what my SA said... just FYI

They better be sending any owners a check if they’re going to be flashing our cars.

I'll take the check, but they can keep their flash.

I dont have a dog in this fight. If they are going to flash the car it would be interesting to see before and after objective testing data. Maybe it will be better. 😋

Agreed, I don't see how it can get any worse...

On second thought, I'll consider the flash if they also remove the racer boy pops and crackles, or at least make them optional in sport/sport plus.

991 must be quite a let down after returning from your rocket 🚀

I just traded my 2014 991 S with Sport Chrono into a Porsche dealer this week and there was no talk of a stop sale campaign. They now have it on their website for sale as well.

Most likely case would be that the VIN on the car you traded is not on “the list”.

Private sales are not affected.
I haven't seen what the problem is, too many posts to wade thru. It
sounds like more big Govt greenies don't like something about the emissions or fuel economy ratings with SC. I couldn't care less about that.
If the software fix is anything like the Diesel fix was, nobody is going to want it fixed. Unless you are a hyper-miler or emissions activist.
Keep driving and enjoying, and don't get the software fix until you are convinced it will not degrade performance.
That's my opinion, until I read otherwise.

Yes. I made the mistake of driving one. BIG mistake, cost me lots of money to change out the Cabrios.
