Stop Sale Campaign on 911 with Sport Chrono?

The real issue is that no smog station sniffer can duplicate the actual emissions tests done by OEMs to pass smog requirements. These require dynos set up with specific driving cycle loads, connected to mass spectrometers that sample the exhaust gasses (collected in large plastic bags) and computed in grams/mile. Most likely the "cheating" done by VW and Porsche has to do with what "modes" the cars are in during this OEM test, as well as specific hardware equipped on the test vehicles (for example like larger cats, with supplemental heaters) that may or may not have been included in production cars. Perhaps the test cars did not have the "sport chrono" modes while being tested, and as such called into question the legality of emissions tests on that vehicle.
The law suites are the result of ambitious law firms who talked a couple of Porsche owners to sign up. They may have been the result of Porsche's own admissions to German authorities that they "inadvertently" cheated during an emissions test due to some employee not following procedures. All the law firms have to do is find a few owners who claim to be wronged by the admissions Porsche cheated and voila, instant money!

HNY! Congrats on your new car.
FYI. Stop Sale Order only applies to official Porsche dealerships and VIN specific.

Got an update from the Dallas Porsche dealer where I have a deposit on a Cayman subject to this stop sale. They said they expect this could be "4-6 months" until it is resolved. Crossing fingers that it will not be that long.

I was curious, so I called up Porsche Beaverton to give them my VIN to see if my GTS is effected in this stop sale campaign. He entered my VIN and nothing pulled up, however, he then admitted he knew nothing about the stop sale. Hadn't heard anything about it.
I'm hoping this means my car isn't effected but I'm not holding my breath either. I still am not losing sleep over this. I love the car, plan to keep the car and just ride this out.
