They all get creases, the only way to avoid that is not cycle the top down. Mine was replaced under warranty due to the seams unraveling on the main top seam on the roof. They cannot sew those as a repair. I was told the cost was $ 6,500.

$6,500 seems excessive. I recall seeing the cost of the top at $2k and then you could find a decent specialist could do it for another $1k

Could be, mine was no charge. Here's one source for the top: https://parts.byersporsche.com/p/Por...193902A10.html

This is for sale at a Porsche dealer. Is there really a stop sale?

Only applies to certain VINs apparently, unsure as to the specifics as to exactly why.

The stop sale order included a detailed description of the various models that are affected. It applies to such cars currently in each Porsche dealer's inventory and to their future-acquired inventory. However, I suspect that dealers may be free to still advertise such cars for sale, but they can't actually complete the sale without violating the order.

Just inquired about a 16 with SC, salesman said they can't sell it right now, but a software update is coming. Take it for what it's worth.

I spoke with a P dealer last week and was told that they are still offering FMV for any cars on the list. They just can’t sell them.

A friend just bought a 991.1 with sports chrono from a Porsche dealer last week that's on the "list." I don't think there is a lot of consistency in this.

PDK or MT? It appears that there is a difference between the list of potential models and the actual “list” of VIN’s impacted that cannot be sold. Not enough information to go on and the speculation continues.

Out of curiosity I’ve checked with SA’s from three different dealers about the status of my 2016 C2S with PDK and SC. They all claim that there is a master list of affected vin’s whether or not in dealer inventory and my car’s vin is not on the list. Who knows at this point if this information is accurate.
