Makes sense. I'm guessing the concern is that in a crash people and structures can move around and the cabin can be compressed. Predicting exactly where a steel bar right behind the passenger's heads is going to end up, even with the seat back as a buffer, might be problematic without a bunch of crash testing which Porsche may be unwilling to do.

Still the CS package is available ROW so it does make one wonder....

Somehow Jeep was able to get it installed with their Wrangler models. Granted it is more a full cage, and padded, but essentially it is a ridged system. Perhaps there is another classification for the jeep or standards are not equally applied ... it's a conundrum.

Agree, but no chance to have it on a road-legal car.

That's just a photoshop, right? The rear wheel doesn't look like a 21 and the wing looks manipulated...

Definitely a Photoshop. Front lip spoiler isnt thick like on the RS (its another 1cm thicker than the GT3). Also mirrors dont have the black base strut detailing and car shown with standard sports seats.

However it does give at a glance an excellent idea of how this would look.

Also the quoted Ring time for 991 GT3 is 5 seconds out (7.30).

Its sloppy work but it does give us an appetiser...

The commentary is also rather negative I think about the 991 GT3RS and totally unwarranted. Its going to be te best GT car ever!

Will this be a short production run like the GT3, or we are bound to see MK2 models in 2017 & 2018 ?

If you look back to the past the 996 GT3RS only one version, whereas 997 got a 3.6, 3.8 and 4.0 ?

Will there be the same trend as a 997 ?, just purely speculation.
