I agree - something about the Macan wheel vs the GT3 wheel just feels off to me. I can't put my finger on what it is, but I always notice how much better the GT3 wheel is in the hands. I hope they get it right for the RS.

2016 model year makes sense, as seems most deliveries wont be until mid summer.
Just my speculation.

Not to get too far ahead of myself....I wonder if the current SW 3rd muff bypass will fit the upcoming RS ? If it doesn't, I will have a new uninstalled one up for sale.

From what I understand it will/should fit. Whether it will be needed is another matter. My advice...install it now and enjoy it while you can. It's what I'm doing. In the grand scheme of things, it's a blip (not even a power cord).

Of course, some will still prefer the 997 even then, but prices will be driven by overall trends, which I predict will favor the 991.

How many posts do you think there will be in the 24 hours following the unveiling at the show?

IIRC when the 991 GT3 was unveiled there was a forum record set for members online, or something. We'll see if the RS unveiling challenges that.

I have the same question and same thought as I am wondering if a slightly higher displacement engine needs larger diameter pipes.
