I know of the WB 993 selling for $270k a 964 NB C2 sold for $250k a while back but was a rare and unusual color combo. This has all gotten a bit upside down. It wasn't long ago a nice low mileage C2 coupe couldn't sell for more than $29k now we are approaching $290K So glad I have all I need already.

Mint green with 19k miles for 250k... not sure there have been any similar comps to compare to

Gotta admit. It's fascinating watching y'all throw so much cash on the table for these things.

That nice WB 964 just sold for $220k (but it is a C4!) I am tracking these things now as I hope to enter the market for a C2 manual but want something special. Not sure I need $220k special however.

The BAT auction for the silver wide body was interesting today. Three bidders took it from 160K to 222K in the last 30 minutes.

Starting to feel a little frothy, same feeling with Ferraris in 1989.

That is insane money add the $5k buyers premium and ouch. It wasn't even a low mileage car. I passed on a mint 27k mile Wimbledon Green C4 WB for $72k 5 years back I guess the offer of $600k for my cobalt turbo wasn't so far out of line if this is where things are heading. My wife said if I pass up a deal like that again she will shoot me. LOL

love WG on the 964 body. just think of how insanely cheap $72k sounds for that car now. that must have been a hard one to pass on.

Here you go, the 1 of 1 WG WTL. Last I knew http://trisslsportscars.com/ had it.

^^ that is the one. It was a very clean car but I had just picked up a targa at the time and ran out of room. I should have booted the targa earlier and picked that one up. But it is just one of a list of many that got away. I should have snagged the cobalt AR and the turboS flachbau when I had the chance as well. Water under the bridge.

What really matters is that you DID pull the trigger on your Cobalt Turbo 3.6 when you did. I would take that over any of the cars you passed up.

I bought a vintage Ferrari race car in 1985 and started trying to sell it in 1989 as I strongly worried the bubble was bursting (Enzo passed in '88). I closed a sale in May of 1990 at nearly 1500% of the purchase price. Three auctions later that month Geneva and two in Monte Carlo were disasters. I figured it I had missed that sale I would have been lucky to get 25% of what I got. The same car sold again seven years later for 85% of what I sold it for so figure a decade to recover to 1989-90 values.

I bought a '70 911E in Mar 2015 when that market was on fire and sold it in Jul 2019 when the market had cooled a bunch at a notable loss. The later air cooled market may be high and perhaps will burst or have a correction but it is moot to me as I plan to keep my C2 for a long time and enjoy it for MANY miles. Pleasure not investment.

Sold for a mere $196K including the BaT fee. As an owner of a black RSA I am floored what people are willing to pay just now. Crazy times

93 Black RSA 55K miles on BaT, quickly jumped to $100K . Looks like a decent example with some front end paint based on the meter readings. It’s actually local to me and I have the twin albeit not quite as clean, so I would be interested to see in person
