Absolute stunner - enjoy. Midnight blue Widebodies are my personal favorite.

Need a price check for insurance:
- 1990 C2
- 105k miles /w full documented rebuild including fire rings at 100k
- Pebble Grey Metallic/Marine Blue (relatively rare)
- Factory LSD
- Paint gauge verifiable original paint
- Originally a Stoddard car with lots of documentation/provenance over the years
- Briefly featured in the Official Porsche World Reveal of the 992 at LA motor show in 2018 (had maybe 5 seconds of camera time, but still an awesome experience)

TIA!

relatively rare? i don't remember ever hearing of that combination before. silver/gray on blue is a smart color combo!
the rebuild is what throws a wrinkle in there. adds value over a stock 105k car, but how much is the question.
my gut is telling me $80k give or take (but overall condition has not been disclosed). i'd over insure for the cost difference on the policy.

$Dollar a mile is your estimate. Insurance doesn't care about engine rebuilds when evaluating replacement cost. I you have agreed value insurance then over insure by $25K if your premium stays reasonable. Best of luck.

Appreciate the kind words. Pebble Grey is a special color, and although you don't see many, I like to reserve "rare" for the 1 of 1 PTS cars.

It's an agreed value policy. I think you would have to be truly crazy to do standard insurance on (almost any) 911 these days.

@Dubbed743 you'd be surprised. As mentioned. $1/mile on your 964 as AVI you should be fine. If it were my car with that criteria I would use the $125K figure.

In 1990 there was no PTS program. It was either Sonderwunsch (Special Wishes) or special order paint colors for which Pebble Grey was probably one of them. So was Classic Silver metallic believe it or not. I started a thread on this that prompted valuable information from other members. So don't sell yourself short in that regard, your car may very well be a very rare bird s it relates to exterior color. Forum link below:

initially, i thought stone gray and pebble gray (lighter than stone) were different colors. this list indicates they're the same 693 color code.

same or different?

I wouldn't loose sleep over this. Porsche is funny like that. The modern day color code for Stone Grey is (L)Z67 on the paint to sample chart.

Some very good information here. From my research, Stone Grey Metallic = Pebble Grey Metallic, which is corroborated by the photo with paint codes. I knew it was a special order color in 1989, however I was unaware it had been removed from the official list for 1990. Obviously we can go extremely deep on this, but irrespective it sounds like I need to get on the horn and update my policy to better reflect 2021 prices.

A very large heartfelt thanks to you both!

When I tried to get AVI on my 964, I couldn't find an insurance company to do it since we only have two cars and two licensed drivers in the household. Seems I need to buy a third car in order to get AVI on my 964. . A bit silly given how little we drive - I work from home and it has been easier for my wife to use mass transit to get to work (now WFH too). Sometimes a whole week will pass and neither car has moved.
Anyway, nice looking 964s!

@2000m2 Yes, one of the AVI requirements is that you have a daily driver car insured with a run of the mill carrier like Progressive, all state or Geico. One for each driver you want to add to the AVI policy. Silly, yes. Years ago when I first insured AVI, I didn't know this either and instead of selling an old daily car we had back then I kept it for this sole purpose. Since then the stable has produced some other stallions so that issue disappeared but if I had to do it all over again I would buy an $800 old mini, and carry on with my 964 AVI life. Good luck!

Spoke to insurance and got my policy adjusted!

Honestly though, I'm almost considering selling with some of these prices...

I'm with you! I've been debating selling into this hot market and going with something newer. I guess we'll see if this craziness carries over into 2022.
With 52k miles I sometimes second guess doing longer road trips.
