Cayenne Prices are already on the rise. My 04 turbo I sold for $15k is now trading for $25k. The world has gone insane.

You want to see some appreciation? An unmolested Fox-body Mustang is going to be worth a small fortune in a few years. It's tough to find one now.
Refresh my memory, were you the guy claiming that 911s were overvalued a decade ago, right before their ascent?

Definitely not. I was barely on Rennlist ten years ago, and mostly in the Cayenne forum.

Not that they're not overvalued. I bought this running, driving '89 Cab for $2,500 two years ago.

Can anyone explain to me why they made "convertible 928s"?? Here's one for sale: https://www.ebay.com/itm/12492276564...2Cchnl%3Dmkcid With a 5-spd and Pasha interior, it looks great to me...so long as I stay inside the car.

What do you think?

So that is a 964 with a 993 body kit. That might explain why but the engine alone is worth $15k min.

I was offered $600k for my 94 turbo at the Bridge two weeks ago and insanity wouldn't let me sell. I paid under $60k for it in 2002.

But it's Cobalt Blue...

Beautiful and very unique car indeed.
I had the chance to see it at the Porsche Parade in Jay Peak.
Wow! Just WOW!

Likewise, Your 928 is equally as stunning in person. Too bad we didn't have a chance to get them together for a photo.

Parade is in PA next year maybe then.

Thanks Anthony.

That would be awesome to take pictures of both cars together.
Maybe then or at another event.
We really need to do this someday...

Well, we all have our preferences - wait, are you instigating?

I like the headlight treatment, myself, but they don't show them popped up and they couldn't get the top to come down.

For posterity:

Great result for the 91 GT this afternoon on BaT - $100k! A low mile one owner unicorn. Will need some deferred maintenance, but it looked like a really good one. Sorry no links from this device.

RE: the droptop, beware the Automall. Had a supercharged manual S4 last year. Carfax showed a complete write-off. Never responded to queries about that not being disclosed, kept cycling it through EBay etc.

People think differently at the Bridge, that's been my experience, too.

What would I do with it? Invest it? Don't understand bitcoin and have no interest despite my sons best friend who is heavily into it and tries to edumacate me. I am a tactile person and need things to be tangible. I could use the money for more project cars but have too many going on now as it is. Too old for Hookers and blow and will barely be enough for a deposit on anything I would consider replacing it with. 1st world problems no doubt but I took possession of it 18 years ago yesterday on my wife's Bday which is a story we won't discuss. Another year and it ties the years I had my 3.0RS tribute, the longest I ever kept a 911. I still regret selling that one after all these years but the turbo has been a great replacement. I was hoping someone would offer me >$200k for my 93 GTS M. Although strong growth since I purchased it I haven't seen the same market interest. Maybe someone needs to make a singeresque 928 and it might drive prices upward.

I never purchased any of these cars as investments and I liked it better when they weren't so valuable. Although it is nice to see an influx of people with the means to fix some of these up and keep them going for decades to come.

Pete,

I have been around people with FU money all my life, most have tragic lives, stories with bad endings and frown when others smile. No doubt the wealthy have achieved a new level of possessions but what is a few hundred grand to someone with over $100M in cars and more in homes, boats and planes. The rock on his wife's finger was probably worth more than my car possibly my house. LOL

It makes for an interesting story but I have little $$ and much time and care into it and I see no reason not to pass it onto my son who i know will appreciate it after I am gone. I let him drive it the other day and he drives everything working at a performance tuning shop and loves the old world feel and has been harping on me to let him drive the 928 and track cars.
