well played, it went all the way to 22.5K seems more reasonable for the situation. im sort of used to seeing them jump up at the end too, but that was especially last second in this case. also interested in what the auto goes for. 1 day left and under 9k. seems it will probably double by auction end.

I'm on the hunt at the moment. The grey offering in Houston is appealing.. there's not much action so far comment wise. I'm not sure what that means as far as interest goes. I may bid tommorow.
The red 5spd finished strong for sure
Great forum btw!

I've been watching that red 87 5 spd since I have one exactly like it, maybe nicer. Good to see it go for decent money, but I thought it would hit mid 20's. I can't decide if mine is a keeper or not. I guess everything has a price.

@jford - I know the owner of the grey '90 that is currently on BaT, he is true enthusiast. The car is nice and originally came from Japan.
@Popoboy944 - Nor sure if you're referring to me as the peanut gallery on the red '87 manual with the black wheels, but painting the intake manual while on the car just before listing it on BaT is poor taste, its the kind of stunt pulled by sketchy used car dealers. It would have been better to leave the intake naked. Any 928 owner or potential buyer will know the factory finish flakes off. I guess there was a paint sale at Ace hardware as there was enough black left over to coat the wheels. Plus the owner claims to have owned over 100 Ferraris but yet covered that poor 928 with sheet metal screws to keep pieces from lifting, from the center console to the door panels to the exterior trim. He is lucky to have got $22k for that car.

This 928 S 1986.5 is still sitting around with 88,700 miles, 5 speed, all original and everything operates as designed. $47,500 I know I'm a very sophisticated seller? When the car is this nice it only appreciates.
