@linderpat Ed, I sold my 1990 GT to a really great guy in Pittsburgh area. He's having the car picked up on Tuesday. I would love to connect the two of you. He could learn a lot from you and will undoubtedly need some expert advice reassembling the car....
Beautiful example. You may want to choose a lighter background.

Yeah, I ended up doing two photo shoots, that one at my local state park and one at a random parking lot. In the park, the trees and debris on the ground were too busy, and like you said, too much shade. The second shoot was better, but still not great. Too sunny from some angles (it was partly overcast), and too shady from others. I had no idea how difficult it is to take good car shots!
I think, taken in totality, with videos, I did a good job of showing how nice the car looks from a few feet away, but that there are definitely flaws in the paint when you're looking closely.

You might try the top of a parking deck on a weekend.
It brought $46k. RR had $51k in it, plus some time in his shop.
When he bought it, I thought he had really over-paid (as it's a nice original car, but does have some needs), but it appears early cars have risen more than I had thought.

The maroon '81 that sold yesterday an hour or two later also brought more than I expected, honestly. It was well-optioned but definitely had some issues that would have certainly pushed me towards being underwater for at least a little while in it if addressed right.
Today is the day! Let's see how it goes! Will it set a new record for pre-GTS automatics?
Unlikely since that record belongs to the Arrow Blue 4k mile 1982 ex James Morrison car that went for $95,000. But that everything to do with low mileage. The next highest is an '86.5 with 13K miles that went for $54,500 in 2020 and then a 30K mile '87 S4 that went for $50,500 that sold in 2018. I think this GT goes between $55-$65K
I think it's a pretty good price for this car! Mine was 16 VIN numbers later and had 75k more miles on it. Comparing the difference in selling price, those 75k miles cost me $20,500 or 27 cents per mile in depreciation.
