I'm considering selling my 1980 Petrol Blue manual. I just haven't had much time to play with it and don't see any time in the near future. What are the better places to list it? PCAR?

there's an interesting (at least to me) '78 928 on BaT right now for sale. it's white with no rubs or rear spoiler and 16" dials. it also has a green velour interior - one identical to my black velour interior in my euro '78 (which was white, no rubs, no spoiler, and same interior material)

That is an interesting car for sure. I had some doubts about the velour but I see that other people are confirming it is correct.

questions are definitely raised by that interior, but i felt confident that mine was original and i have seen a couple more. since mine was a euro car, i thought it might be something from non-US markets. switch this green interior for a black one and it's identical to my interior as far as inserts, stitching, pleats, bolsters, etc. if the interior were in better shape, i'd be tempted by this car just to relive those early years with mine. i also love how pure the early car looks in white with no rubs or rear spoiler - so clean and simple.

Love Petro Blue. Popular colors do well on BaT.

My 1990 S4 is on cars and bids right now. Had no luck in Rennlist marketplace and BAT said it wasn't what they were looking for.

Looks great! I will never understand BAT. I am a repeat seller and buyer and they still will turn a car down. But a Ford Explorer or Olds Bravada are welcomed any time

Curious how Cars and bids works out ! Good luck with this. Nice presentation.

I've submitted mine to BAT. Hopefully it won't take 4 months.

BAT and my timelines do not match up. @jeff spahn what was the lag with Cars and Bids? Thanks!

Cars and bids took about a week to do the whole process but then again I hired the professional photographer to take my pics so you have that. I'd be you could get the whole thing done in a week easy.

That was my experience as well when I sold my W12 Phaeton there earlier this year.

BTW Jeff, your S4 looks excellent! GLWTA!

Your 928 is beautiful! Was there any indication from BAT as to why it didn't meet their expectations? The total miles, maybe?

If I were to take a wild guess, I would say it's not the car but that first picture - the nice shot with the lights up that's been tweaked a bit (reflection sparkles added). Enhanced pics probably don't pass their sniff test.
Just a guess.

Here's one from Mecum yesterday, it sure rode that Risky Biz value bump: https://www.mecum.com/lots/LN1021-46...porsche-928-s/. (the hammer was $8250). Places like Mecum and B-J are the wrong place for a 928 auction. Most of the crowd do not "get" it with our cars. (movie props notwithstanding - B-J bidders obviously loves those things). Hard to tell from the one picture what the condition of this car was though, but it had recent timing belt and other service apparently.
