P9 Motorsports Rear Mounted Turbo S4. If I wasn’t selling my house this would be in my garage tomorrow. Needs some work but if as mechanically sound as the seller states, this is easily the most HP/$ 928 on the market and it ain’t even close.
I agree with @Rob Edwards 's sentiment -- who bid even $83k? The high end art world is the exact same -- galleries buy up name artists during market troughs to keep comps artificially inflated (Jeff Koons is an example).
But the BAT model is no silver bullet either: set reserve at 80, prompt your buddy to bid 79,928 at the buzzer to hopefully nudge someone over your ask. When that plan doesn't work out? "RNM."
Here is the problem with that scenario ....your friend bids up to $1000 of the reserve and BaT kicks in the $1000 to make it happen then your friend gets charged the 5% buyers fee. That is probably why they don't need your permission to reduce their commission and give you the net amount you agreed to take for the car.
That's Chuck's car. He was the other half of P9 Motorsport. Would make a great project for someone for sure. Lots of potential.

Similar to that San Diego car, but needs a head gasket at least. Asking $5,900.
Question - do the economics make sense to buy a car at this price and send directly to Greg Brown for once-over, if you were local?
