Saw this on CarGurus. 1984 Porsche 928S for 6,900 dollars.
Seller states runs and drives and had a paint job and the interior has been redone. Looks like the carpet has been redyed red. Looks like the interior is a project. I would redye all of the carpet back to tan and the upholstery all 4 seats in tan and reshape them back to the factory style. Exterior is not to bad though. Only thing I really see wrong is the front missing lens for the fog light and the rear passenger tail light light assembly. Engine looks good probably the best part of the car.
I looked back a few pages and didn't see any mention of the 86.5 that sold today on cars and bids for $8200. With less than 70k miles, that seemed low, although it did have some unusual modifications such as carbon fiber wrapped hood and roof and a pop out screen that blocked the AC vents. I'm wondering if Doug just doesn't have the audience yet to bring the big bucks for cars.
I freely admit to not knowing much about later cars, but is that what $30k+ buys in a GTS? I mean, it looks tired. Especially the interior. For that much money I'd expect it to be nearly concours.

Reason: Corrected the submodel.

The car had several issues. I didn't believe it was a garnet red car, and the hood was an add-on. Why would someone spend money to wrap the car down to the inside front engine bay (underneath the headlight bar) and not the inside of the hood when the hood is much more visible and easily done? There was a request to show a pic of the shock towers, but the seller ignored it. Also, I didn't get the owner's choice to use a $180 rebuilt water pump during a $6k service but spent more on a fuel pump. Whoever bought the car would have to redo the WP immediately. The seller made the car a no reserve only after seeing a few of the comments, maybe trying to just get rid of it.
