If anyone is genuinely interested in this blue S4 on Denver Craigslist, I'd be happy to go take a look since it's in my backyard. I am not familiar with this car, so not an active 928 owner in the Denver area.
Looks good in pictures, and I like the color. But I am curious how good a paint job and interior it has, given how rough it looks under the hood. Also, the "A/C just needs charging" is a bad sign to me. If that's all it needs, then charge it. Instead, it usually means there is a much more costly problem, or that the owner is so disinterested in routine maintenance that they can't even bother with that.
Price seems high for an auto with that mileage, but maybe the paint is amazing and the TB was just done with new cams and with superbearings in the torque tube.

Does anyone remember what they were asking in the Craigslist ad? It's on BAT now
Krämer is a very respected Porsche shop here in Germany. I would say technically a good car but you would need to restore the interieur and exterior!
Maybe buying an good example for 40 - 50.000 € is more economical!
Huh, didnt see the CoA. Will doublecheck and report back.
I was looking at the engine compartment, and spare tire well which looked pretty good. that made me check the COA. But as we know these cars have histories and the database has errors and inconsistencies.
All good!
As you know, I love this color combination. Unfortunate that I'm not in the market...

Yeah, unless the guy pulled the engine and interior and painted those areas too, this car looks to have started life as Tahoe Blue, and not Polar silver.
Mea culpa, I'm totally wrong, two separate databases confirm paint code 58, which is indeed Tahoe Blue. There's an error in my notes. It's the only Tahoe Blue US market '91, FWIW.

It looks like the TB job last year was done by a shop here that I know consistently works on 928s. They are about a mile from me and I see 928s there fairly regularly and have even had them do a job for me. One of the owners has had a couple 928s of his own. Looks like the job included a GEBA water pump and a Conti timing belt.

Looks nice on an S4 but IMO, nothing like Minerva on an OB. I think it's the S4's black wing that breaks up the lines

Are you speaking of Eurosport, Dave Marshall's place? I didn't realize they had any 928 experience.

Yes. That's the place. I have seen as many as three 928s in the lot there at one time, and frequently at least one. I took my car there once when a brake hose failed and started leaking. I was busy and wanted it repaired before the reservoir emptied. They billed me for a half hour and and about $4 worth of hose. I've also visited the shop with the Porsche Breakfast Club, and talked to them about their experience with 928s and they seemed knowledgable.
My experience with them was the day in May 2017 when Arvada had the catastrophic hail storm (took out my roof, totaled my daily driver). At the time of the storm, my lowly 928 was on the lift in the shop while some much more valuable 911s and an Alfa sat outside and got destroyed.
