Sold! It has some pretty serious oil leaks, no AC and lots of other issues including unknown miles and true ownership chain, some crust underneath. The guy jumped the price to $15,000 because he got a few calls and wanted to close the deal today. Someone else closed and took it away...
I could not get there because I'm in Minnesota and on deck for surgery at the Mayo Clinic tomorrow or Tuesday.

OK guys better jump on this one now! Seriously I bet this one doesn't last the weekend. If it was local it would already be in my garage.
'78 5-speed, Euro, 76k miles, pearlescent white over pasha. Guy is only asking $9k. Damn that's a screaming deal.

Thanks for the update. Pretty sure that is a respray in a non original color also. But if the pasha is as good as it looks, all the other mechanical stuff is easy enough to remedy. At $15K not as much of a deal but still a good buy (assuming the paint job is of decent quality of course)

You are correct in that it was a non original color respray (GP White). According to drooman, the first Pearl painted Porsche was a 1979 924 GTS that is in the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart.
When we did the walk around on FaceTime, it showed that the paint was chipped and touched up in a bunch of places. The drivers side bolster had a big hole in it, piping split a bunch and that the seams in the pasha were splitting. Did have a nice Bob Budd carpet set and the interior was not cut up by speakers. The dash and pod were not cracked (some holes from mounting accessories), had its original non-functional radio, no antenna, and the console and quarter panels were nice. Seller really wanted out of the car quickly for some reason.
It also had the chrome gas cap, belts with tags and first aid kit with a nearly complete tool set! So I think whoever got it has a decent value..
My guess is that we will see it for sale again!

I came across this ad this morning. https://albany.craigslist.org/cto/d/...905781665.html

How much would you pay for it? It's an 82 automatic with 130k miles and unspecified need for tlc. Lots of 928 with something that needs to be fixed for sale around the 5k.

I did notice NY ad and MASS plates so who knows. Maybe legit and could possibly be a good deal, I have seen that scenario in the past.

Shawn. If still in the hunt why not check it out on your way to Camp 928. Kinderhook is 90 miles straight south of Chestertown. Love those Riva wheels. T

As far as what I think it's worth...
If the rest of the interior and engine bay looks as good as the pics that are posted, that's easily a $8-$10k car.
