Maybe Andrew's mothers car ?
If you can get past the repaint, the price seems attractive. $48k net? Would an export need to pay mehrwertsteuer (VAT)?

no VAT. But there are import duties and shipping is expensive too.

Default 1988 Venetian Blue S4 auto $18,000

This is a nice 928. It runs perfectly and as of last Saturday when I checked it over it has no leaks. I haven't driven it much in the past two years because of odometer gear breaking (described below). I drive a 21 mile exercise run about twice a month from late April to about the end of October, then it is covered in the garage.

Lots of photos here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/QV4oe3w4qrj2b1bL9

Front bumper cover has road rash. Has RMB installed and original muffler is included. Almost all of the work I've done on the car is documented in threads here on Rennlist. The odometer gear broke when I reset it at a gas station for an mpg check coming back from Camp 928 2018. Adding the miles I log using GPS to the 92,786 on the odometer the total is 94,543. I have the new odometer gear, but household projects consume my available time. The original manhole cover wheels are included. I have a stash of new and used parts I'll include if I get a strong offer on the car.

Good luck Jon, that is a very nice car. Is that the one where we had the famous relay tech session in the parking lot a few years back at Frenzy?

Field find? 1990 S4 Grand Prix White Auto up in Vermont. Guy is asking 5K obo. This could be a nice rescue project. I don’t recall the last time a 1990+ came up for sale this cheap. Likely needs lots of $$$ to make right but thats a tempting entry price. Andrew is this near you?

Curt has accurately described me as unable to afford more than one cool car at a time. I preordered a Cybertruck two days after the reveal and the plan is to take delivery of it in Hawaii after I retire in summer 2022 (a Tesla "Ranger" out of Honolulu will accompany the truck when it is shipped down to Hilo - and surprisingly the delivery fee is the same as on the mainland). I don't want a car payment...so the 928 proceeds will roll into the Cybertruck. Our plan is to live off-grid on the Big Island and have a hefty PV system to make the Cybertruck "solar powered". It's the next adventure.

I'm advertising it on FB Marketplace and probably eBay for a bit more than my Rennlist price. Folks here who know my car would likely say my price is too low, but there's a part of me that wants to be sure it ends up in good hands. As you say, I've done a lot of work on the car and it would be a shame to see it all go to waste after I let go of the keys.

Wow, Jon, that's a big move! Best of luck to you, and good luck with the sale. As I mentioned before, that's a fine car, and it should sell quick. Someone will get a good one!

Luckily my car has never participated in a midnight parking lot tech session Thanks for your kind words about the car. I just realized you may have been thinking about me leading the Fun Run and the battery dying. The battery wasn't very old, but it had failed internally. New gel-type has been been great.

Jon, GLWS!

You still will be flying back annually from Hawaii to map out our fun runs for Frenzy still? They are the best fun runs!

I pinged Dillon (NewToPig) who's in NH (Keene?), and he might be interested in taking a look.
