Took the S3 out for a drive today after a 2-3 wks hiatus to replace the rear leaking A/C defroster, changing to R134, replacing the broken original Blaupunkt Radio with another same refurbished one, and doing a 928 Intl RMB swap. That RMB along with Ott's Catless X-Pipe really wakes up the 5L V8. The sound is just intoxicating as the needle sweeps over the rev range, and after 5k, OMG, Nirvana . I should have done this much sooner
Cleaned out the inside of the euro to get her ready for stereo /amp/speaker/sub wiring, and installed the old seat from my 82 into her temporarily so I can finally move the car in and out without sitting on a piece of 4x4 post, which not only killed my herniated disc, but also caused me some tail-bone pain!
Lost the battle for Fuel Pump and Fuel filter replacement. Prior Fuel Pump and filter had been on so long they essentially were a bear to get the S Pipe off between the pump and filter. Got it undone, put it all back together with new filter and fuel pump and couldn't stop the leaking. Turns out the S-Pipe is leaking at a junction by the check valve.
Time to put in an order with overnight shipping from 928intl.
I've got other projects to keep me occupied but UGGHHHH
Spent the weekend repacking the grease in the front hubs. Nice shiny green Mercedes Benz high temp bearing grease replaced whatever was in there before. New rotors and pads are also on, just need to wait for the rotor screws to arrive (Monday, sigh) and I'll be able to close everything up and start working on bleeding the brakes from the rear forward.... I think it's passenger rear, then driver's rear then passenger front then driver's front with outboard caliper first then inboard. Or something like that :-)
Giving the suspension and brakes some much needed love over the past few months. New ball joints, tie-rod ends, rack boots, Bilsteins, strut mounts, brake rotors & pads, pad sensors, paint, fender linings, lots of powder coat down to new lug nuts. Before and after pictures.

Looks great. Did you use a steam cleaner? If so, which model?
I readjusted the rear latch on my hatch. It would previously only shut with a “gentle” slam. Turns out that someone had removed the shim under the lower strike. The PET confirms two part numbers for two different thickness shims. Adding a 1mm shim back fixed her right up.
