So what did you do to your 928 Today......

Got the resprayed Sun Roof re-installed with new seals. Note to self and others, the shoes that slide on the track can be installed upside down on the wrong side until the last two bolts of eight won't line up. My WSM pics off the printer were fuzzy but I should have looked closer.
Installing new roof liner tomorrow and then new sun roof switch once it arrives.

Took the new to me 91 GT for a shake down run now that TB, WP, PK Tensioner, all belts, hoses and fluids done. Switched out the Design 90 wheels and 14 year old tires for some C 2 turbos and fresh tires. Put 150 miles on the car with a run up to Maine and car handled and drove great. The exhaust sound difference from the GT vs the S4 is just right.
The 150 miles is more than it has been driven in the last 12 years, just about to turn 25K miles now.
This thing is a time machine, can't believe it's mine now!

Took a tour along the backroads next to the St. Lawrence to enjoy the 1000 Islands area. Parked the car in the sun in order to admire the shiny intake distributor and rear spoiler. Should I decide to adder the wing I'll put it on with something other than tape.

Completed steering rack replacement. Old rack had leaking shaft seals and was using the rubber boots as auxiliary oil reservoirs. Steering is now noticeably lighter and easier. Used Rogers Delrin bushes BUT did note that the old rack had metal bushes. probably explains some of the perceived "harshness" experienced over some b and C roads with bad bitumen.

I got all tail and front lights working, side markers as well.
Condensation causes problems with copper, who woulda thunk it?
What a mess.
Fresh gas, new plugs, new air filter.
Now to start the "back on the road" process. Capping all of the interior electrical loose wires and marking them to be re-installed.
WOW! this car looked much better in the pictures than it actually was.

Ordered a transmission filter kit and 6qts of redline for the 85 we are picking up next weekend.

In the process of replacing my front S spoiler with new. Thought I would be one of the few who could bang it out in a few hours. Boy was I mistaken! Had to step away at 12:30AM this morning. All on except for fitting it correctly into the passenger side brake cooling duct. What a pain!
Removal of the old one was no easy feat as 2 of the spoiler mounted studs were spinning - had to cut them off.

Drove her once again today... been driving daily to work since December. Every day, I look forward to driving to work, and can hardly wait to drive home. Some days, I just want to pass work and just keep driving...
