No problem.. robertsiv@hotmail.com Yeah, I'm not making mine into a track car either but I'd like to see how she handles on a track This is Ken's "test car" and has probably had the crap run out of it... Its got all his upgrades but then again so does mine! He's sending me a new 4.0 chip (again) with "sport mode" whatever the hell that means He is a whiz with the 85 - 86.5 cars!!!

    Joel,
thought I had your email, but cannot find it. when you reply, pls include it.

saw your note to me on that thread warning about chip installation. it is a good caution, as I cracked my ECU board when replacing chips on my 911. the guy who made the chips fixed it for me cheap.

these old ECU boards are brittle.

my post was a joke of course as I know there are no chips for US spec 84s.

damn but I am badly tempted by Kens track car. if I were to buy Ken's car I would definitely be sleeping in it.

good news, my wife is frugal. bad news, my wife is frugal and is going increasingly ballistic over my car expenses. I feel her distress is misplaced.

I am strongly considering taking my 928 to MidOhio in two weeks. may for just one day to get a feel for it on the track. now that I have done pretty much all the mechanical refresh work, I think it could handle it. but don't plan to morph my 84 into a track car.
