use the existing holes where the headers would bolt to the head, and attach a sheet metal piece angled downward so that the gas comes out and goes to the ground lol

Nice conversion!

968ls1's Excellence-featured 968 and his brother's 944 are awesome cars and an inspiration to the rest of us.

The Acura NSX had electric steering. Someone on the other board suggested it but I don't think anyone pursued the idea.

I don't think that would help my situation... You still need an intermediate steering shaft to go down to the electric rack, right?

i didnt mean electric assist, i meant like...the steering wheel has a sensor on it and then a motor turns the rack. however that kind of thing would be hard to adapt to a 944 i suppose.

Drive by wire steering, I think BMW uses that on the 7 series. I would imagine a custom set of headers is way more cost effective. How are those coming, BTW.

Still waiting on the U-sections. Dan welded up the #3 and #4 last night and they're looking good. We'll post pics when they're all together.

Default S&P or Sanderson...

Hey Alan,

If Street & Performance won't play ball, Sanderson may.
http://www.sandersonheaders.com/custom_built_headers.php

I'll contact both tomorrow for some solid details.
Thanks for considering helping the community.

Also, "DVC and 968ls1 approved" Manual coming your way tomorrow A.M.
LMK what you think...

Greg, sounds good. It would be great to have a more reasonably priced, off the shelf header solution than the RH ones.
