"T2112120 / 1-1/2 OD x .120 wall x 1.260 ID / 1020 DOM Structural Round Steel Tube / 2.0 Ft. / In Stock / $15.92"
Easy to deal with, and not that far away.
Firewall Plate shipped this AM, USPS Priority. The instruction sheet may be overkill, but it is detailed. I included a drill template just in case, but welding is your best bet.
I'll add tracking info through PayPal shortly.
What are your plans for VSS? I put together a nice VSS Kit...
I can get you one early next week if you'd rather not mod a cam gear.
Thanks Alan.

Simply put, not completely.
There is a decent sized list of other parts needed to complete the Conversion, included in a "shopping list" (with part numbers) in the Manual. Other necessary parts resale and markup doesn't make financial sense for the customer, and some of the other parts (i.e. suspension and brake upgrades) are based on your individual desire. There are a solid 30+ "small parts" also needed, from clutch, headers, brake master cylinder, temp. and oil pressure senders, bellhousing, throttle cable, intake accessories, coolant hoses, and so on.
The Basic Kit includes:
C5 BELLHOUSING ADAPTER
THE PORSCHE® 944 V8 CONVERSION MANUAL
ENGINE UPRIGHTS
ENGINE SET-BACK PLATES
C5 CLUTCH CONCENTRIC SLAVE HOSES & FITTINGS
C5 CLUTCH CONCENTRIC SLAVE ASSEMBLY
REMOTE OIL FILTER RELOCATION KIT
WILWOOD 260-7563 MANUAL MASTER CYL. CONVERSION PLATE & PUSHROD
MODIFIED MOROSO #20140 LS1 / LS6 OIL PAN
The Basic Kit consists of the hard-parts required to install the V8, a manual brake conversion (for clearance), etc. Some of the options can be purchased elsewhere for less if you know what you need, and all machined parts technical drawings are included in the Manual for the individual willing to machine or have machined the custom parts. The "Kit" just puts the custom machine work and related items in one place, for those who wish to "click-a-Kit".
Suspension mods, wiring details (including pinouts), brake options, and other end-user options are also included in the Manual. I put as much as I could into 128 pages to make the info available, and to give the Conversion world another option. I still say "Save money and do it yourself", but at least with the Kit, yet another option exists.
You can email or call me from the Contact page if you wish, to keep Alan's thread open to his progress.
Tom (968ls1) has been my greatest resource so far, and he knows the 944 V8 like his own kid.
Tom,
I sent you a "freebie" for review with your FW plate. Some things have already changed, BTW. Let me know what ya think...
Alan,
Just checking. ABS sensor is easily set-up in HPTuners.
Back to the show...

Sure, I'll try to do that. Here's a pic of what someone else did to get S&P headers to fit.

Just a BTDT, but those Street & Performance headers are fine for the small motor, if you keep it mild, but were very restrictive on my LS2. JPR (LS1 with TEA heads and Lunati cam) only put down 370 through them. They are an inexpensive way to get started and with V-bands they never leaked on me.
People talk **** about Renegade but their LS headers fit well, are inexpensive, and make good power. Custom exhaust is not cheap and not all good exhaust fabricators want to deal with these cars.

Props to Dan as well as Andy Kihm for some awesome fab work last night. We had to cut all 4 tubes off on the driver side header, and they pieced together #3 and #4 to clear the steering shaft. Looking really great. Ordered some U pieces from Jegs and hopefully will get #1 and #2 pieced in tonight.
