Removed the cam cover from my S2, stripped it and sanded down to bare alloy, ready for painting tomorrow.

installed witchhunter cleaned injectors, removed sunroof motor & gears (manual latches have been installed for some time now), removed porsche light from center, moved license plate back up (now i have ugly holes), installed seats, and put new registration light bulbs in. couple days ago i removed the carpet (damp and moldy), scrubbed down the floor and painted it, replaced hatch lock then found out that the hatch doesn't open even with the new lock so i had to soak the pin receivers in liquid wrench and adjust the rods, also found out that the drainage tubes for the sunroof weren't attached to each other so i did that (water was draining into the interior wheel wells), taped down some wiring, and installed my dash after coating it in plasti-dip (cheap alternative to the cover but doesn't look as good) and re-painting all beige interior pieces. i had a busy week, and i've never had my car apart this much at the same time.

Default Satruday messy day

Did more tweaking for my trickling water seeping rear hatch gasket leak...(gonna search on this more here).... ummmmmm took off the front wheels as the only place I left when I ran out of rubberized undercoating a few weeks ago... you may
remember? Before and after"

Today the before wash & after wash & scrub:

The applied undercoating:

Also fixed these flat lip areas behind front wheels for the chips and surface rusting, ..the before and after:

Pulled grease caps off front hubs (hey the LH has a speedo thingy like a VW?) Tightened and checked for good grease in the front wheel bearings while here too....torqued the wheels to 90 ...letting it dry now having an adult beverage.

Fixed poorly adjusted (by me) door handle on the passenger side. Now it works!! Small victories are awesome, especially after fiddling with a flashlight, screwdriver, jacket to block the light and assorted tools to try to get the little tiny door lock linkage back in position...for about 1.5 hours! Why do they have to be so complicated... oh yeah...it's German.

They probably assumed it was stolen. Nobody that eats at McDonalds "walks" anywhere.

Installed my 8 blade HX 40 turbo. Runs very well, the transient response is better than the H1E. With my custom turbine I am hitting 25 psi @ 3800 rpm.

Cleaned up the car and went to probably the biggest cruise I have been to since I was a kid, good times.

Got a pic ?

I am filling the splits in my dash (Bondo method) and am looking for finish options, bought textured paint, just not sure yet... well, back to sanding

Just did some searching and turned up an old post using SEM Texture Coating and SEM paint over bondo, looks to be thr ticket.
