Bought 2 yards of carpeting, new shocks, and some vinyl dye. Hopefully tomorow I'll be getting a yard or two of alcantara for the dash/sunroof/roof/pillar panels.

tyler,

coming from someone who has recarpeted his 944 from regular stock - youll need more than 2 yards.

Dang!!

I'll just do the front for now (still have to stop the leak before I recarpet though...)

Alcantara?? I have no idea, I've been told good upholstry stores. I've always loved how they looked on E46 M3's (csl's), espescially as headliner/ and dashboards.

the clutch was foul, almost like water...

both pedals feel great now...

cleaned the starter up while removed for bleeding

Dammit. Blew up another exhaust on my car. Two systems in two race weekends... something is wrong. Doh.

Other than that I did set a new personal best

how big are your rolls? my pile was cut from a 72" roll iirc

i dont remember an exact amount but..

i started with 5 yards. i used some up making a rear mat and a speaker panel thingy...call it down to 3.5

i think i used 2.5 yds for the floorpans alone. i made a single piece for the rear floorpan and two pieces for the front. if you are patient its not actually that hard to shape it to the contours, although i did cut some corners (literally) because i couldnt get the carpet to mold right so i cut at angles and glued it down. overall it turned out very well imo, especially since it was my first time doing anything of the sort. makes the car feel alot newer.

i had enough left over to make floormats for the front also, and now i might have a half yard left.

bottom line is, go buy more.

OH, and oil/filter change. I'm sending a sample into Blackstone labs.

Took the 951 out today to entertain a friend of mine. Just got the regular Daily car working again so now I can park the Porsche and take care of a few things... Which means I'll have more posts in this thread!
