Hooked up oil pressure sending unit. PO only connected with rubber boots, no actual hard wire connections!
Repaired headlight movement shaft. PO had lost washer and circlip on drivers side.
Replace interior lighting fuse. Shorted it out pulling console and DME out to do resolder job...
Put summer tires on. PO had winters on 968 rims... Now phone dials with Continental Extreme Contacts

Installed my new-to-me script seats yesterday. Now it looks ridiculous with mismatched front/rear seats. Add it to the list!

^^^^ Looks good.

I polished like a mad man on mine last week and entered a local car show with my buddy. There were about 50 classes - and 2 import classes. Pre 1980 and post 1980.

He got 2nd in the pre1980 and I got 2nd in the post 1980. Not sour grapes at all but the cars that won our respective classese should not have. The car that beat me was just an off the show room regular BMW from 2011. Ok it did not have any paint chips LOL I am not saying I was deserving of first but that is kind of lame. Now if a Ferarri or something there then Ok LOL LOL.

Dropped her off at Big-O for a front suspension alignment (hasn't seen a mechanic in months, and I don't like trusting people with her )

Told them to do 1/16" toe-in, and 3° caster, as 924.org said, along with -2° camber. Does this sound ok?????

Setting-wise that sounds ok, although zeroing the toe is more typical to save on tyres.

Did you know that they'll need a special tool to properly set the toe and camber at the rear? Without it I think it would be a tricky job.

Let me know how they get on, because this is something that's on my mind too - I recently lowered the rear on the eccentrics, and maxed the camber adjusters in front. Hope to take into a place and get it measured, so I can decide what to do next.

I'd trust an every-day mech to get the front right as it's really simple - but the rear set up is a tricky job.

I'm only getting the front aligned... So big-o called me and said my car's too low for their sensors to work. Wtf... Made an appointment at a local automotive shop for next week... Happened to be another guards red 944 in the parking lot! I NEVER see 944s in our little town...

ALSO, picked up my new twists from HICKS (thanks Chris!! ) They look amazing! More pics will be in my project thread.

Butters, Dyno-comp on Raintree can do alignment on our cars. The owner races a 700hp Subaru STI but one of his favorite cars is the 944 Turbo. Dyno-comp did the alignment on my car and put it up on the dyno for the 323rwhp run after the rebuild last year.
