Bled the brakes and drove it a bit...god i missed this car...i have to get it ready ASAP.

With 280lb springs, coilovers and 968 anti sway bars the car is still very confy...not at all jumpy and go-kart-like as i expected.

learned from reading a Lart post what a possible fatal mistake many new 944T owners make prior to adding boost...

expanded my understanding of the 944T.

Rolled the right rear arch again and finally got rid of the last of the rubbing. I'm going to get the camber checked on Friday, but plumb line/level indication is that there's less camber on the right rear by a fraction.

Made an inner arch for the front right to keep air out of the wheel well. Measured up for a plywood splitter.

Thinking I need to pull the OPRV to have a look. The pressure gauge builds steadily during cranking to 5 and doesn't drop from there. The oil filter hasn't blown a gasket - but something seems a bit wrong. Hoping it's not a blockage somewhere.

Today I drove the hell out of it and enjoyed every min of it. Over this past weekend I did the cam shaft oil seal replacment that i had been putting off for the past 2/3 months. that wraps up all of the front seals on the 88/na. There is still a leak at the front leading edge of the oil cooler and it will req the removal of the oil cooler housing( PITA) so for now I cleaned this area up and smeared gray permatex in the seam to at least slow it down. Need to buy the special oil relief vlv alingment tool for the 88 944 before I takle this one.

Fitted an eccentric hub wheel adaptor I got from Rennbay. It lifts up my Momo wheel about a 10mm which is enough to see the gauges and warning lights properly. I will need to get it on a grinder at some stage, as it is partly exposed behind the lower wheel centre, due to the Momo being higher.

Pauly what did your starter end up costing you shipped(and where did you source it), if you don't mind me asking ? Was thinking of getting one at some stage but was thinking freight would be brutal
cheers

Bled the cooling system yesterday and got rid of a huge air bubble. Now, no more overheating even with the A/C on!

My alternator called it quits on me during the morning commute. Hopefully I can find a replacement locally and install a new one in the morning.

Replaced my mangled nonworking parking brake handle with a late one. What a difference! Easy as pie to install. Early parking brake handle was designed by idiots!!

Default struts and leaks

Replaced the front struts (left front was frozen) and then pulled the front apart to check the tension on the new belts. There's been a niggling oil leak on the front passenger side that I thought was the OPRV but after pulling the front belts and rollers off, the dye tracer showed it to be the passenger side balance shaft seal housing O ring. Waiting for the O ring to come in and that should finish ALL the oil leaks.

Started building a full 3" cat pipe yesterday, worked a good 8 hours on it, then spend another 5 hours today. It's not done yet. It's not easy getting some of the curves to stay tight against the underside of the body and around the starter. I'm taking the time to smooth out the welds and junctions inside the pipe, adding an extra bung for the wideband, and blending the flanges with the pipe. I also modded a few things around the cat pipe to make it easier to install and remove. I've become a master at removing the cat pipe from the downpipe!
