1. Replaced the plastic bushing under the shift lever
2. Replaced the old nasty dry rotted sound absorber that goes around the shifter
3. Replaced the torn and dried out rubber piece under the shift boot (no idea what it's job is, but I replaced it anyways)
4. Replaced the plastic piece on the drivers side door that holds the window switches/mirror adjuster
5. Replaced the saggy old hood struts with super strong new ones (no more surprise bangs on the head from the hood for me!)
6. Replaced the air filter
7. Replaced the left/right/center hinges for the wind deflector

I still need to replace the fuel filter/in tank screen and the O2 sensor and that'll be it for this box of parts. Coming up next is the cap, rotor, plugs, wires, vacuum lines, inspect the AFM for grooves/clean it, and clean out the throttle body. Once I rack up enough cash it'll be time for a timing belt, water pump, oil cooler seals, and some coolant!

Picked up a 'new' parts car yesterday for it. Wanted the manual rack out of it. Will sell everything else for profit, the fuch wheels alone will make up purchase price.

So sad to see sport seats wasated like this. See my thread for possible salvage thread on these.

None of my front end (in front of the strut towers) is original.

I figured if I had to replace the structure anyways (due to a crash in 2010) I should make it so there's more room to wiggle around in...incidentally the top bar of the cross-brace is positioned right where the bottom of the 951 IC should be, so rather than modifying that (or making a new one) I'll just choose a different intercooler...

I think so, but you should add some duct tape to each end to make sure its secured well.

BAH! Duct tape doesn't hold worth a dam. You gotta wrap some zip ties around the duct tape first.

I shed a tear this memorial day for several reasons, One first and fore most for the services of others in the military life given for my freedom. Also I spun the number #2 bearing it seems with no indication except seized (sudden stoppage)engine at 40 mph 2000 rpm. Drain oil today nothing unusual have not cut filter. No over temp. but engine will not turn with a breaker bar on crank pulley and trans in neutral with spark plugs out. I am setting up for the remove of oil pan anticipation of the #2 rod bearing or any bearing failure for that matter. any other thoughts on what may cause this stoppage. it was not until this happen that read the #2 rod bearing was a problem, shame on me.

Basically yesterday I disconnected the rear brake lines, dropped the rear suspension, took out my old split S2 TT that self destructed, installed my used 951 tube, installed the rear suspension, put in the transaxle and did the cv joints. Today I installed the exhaust and bled the brakes. Car runs well after 5 months of sitting around! I'm pretty sure that I've taken this car apart so many times that I can do a clutch change in a solid day.

Didn't do this today but over the past few months. I refinished a set of 16" 951 Fuchs during the winter and put them on early April.......was tired of sanding but more tired of seeing the car on jackstands...lol. Also finished and installed the 924CGT replica rear spoiler that Tony Garcia (TonyG) made from his mold for me. Finished it off with a decal from Van. Here are some pics:

And since I've been making them for fellow listers I decided to put one of my own custom crests on the car........
