Fitted new door pull straps ,fixed the door checks and started fitting a new st of speakers in a unusual place.
The fixed nutes on the right door check have broken loose and in order to tighten or loosen the screws i decided to cut a hole in the kick pannel to get to the nuts, bad idea, there is a reinforcement plate behind there that is almoust impossible to remove but since i started this i had to finish the job . By the way ,i consider the mounting for the door checks a very bad design . While doing this i got an idea ,i had a pair of polk audio 3.5" speakers i have been trying to figure out how to fit in the front doors , while cutting the hole in the kick pannel i realised they would fit perfectly in there, they are also hidden from sight so it doesn't look odd.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only that like to go thrift shop! You can find some good stuff there at a good price, love the hunt, like a cleaner junk yard !

Went in to reset belt tension (after 1500 miles) and found the timing belt was a little loose (spring loaded tensioner). No big deal. However, I had a small oil leak and traced it to the pax side balance shaft housing O ring. Since the front was somewhat dissasembled, I went the rest of the way and replaced the O ring. All other seals in the engine are tight and dry. All back together and fired right up.

Oh... I found out yesterday

Okay I don't know if it's to cry over but she was turned into a LeMons race car. I glad she's racing but they could have picked a 924S without perfect paint and without a rare full leather late interior! D:

How did a car with nice paint and nice interior qualify as a Lemons car? I thought they were limited to $500 junkers?

It "qualifies" because everyone cheats.
