replaced the rear shocks today and got the light working for my coolant temp gauge.. the rest of the cluster pod does not seem to be lighting up.. also snapped some pics of the car in front of the new house. but alas, my internet is down at the house and the cable company will not be out until thursday.. so hopefully i can tinker with it tomorrow afternoon and get it working and get the pics posted that i took today.

Disturbed the peace a bit, and painted some stuff.

Made some plans for the interior on the S2.

I didnt like my floor mats, they were just some generic things. They're a good fit but they slide around and bunch up too so I had some friends make me a track mat.
I made a cardboard template. One mate cut it out of sheet ali and dipped it, another painted it and last put on the 3m tread.

Man Jinxed - that's a cool idea.

I think I'll get that done this month. Love the look of the mats, but mine will have to be in that wonderful 80's Brown.

I slightly glanced at it and wondered when I would take the time to work on it.

my late style 944 non powered passenger seat weighs 17.7 kgs. does that sound right?

does anyone know if the torque tube tunnel has mounting points for seat belt receiver stalks like how they are fitted on early 944's? am looking at getting recaro seats.

Nope - early cars only for the tunnel mounting points. Always open to being proven wrong, but I think they're missing. You should be able to feel for them through the carpet.

Weights seem about right, my late powered seats are enough to bust a valve trying to wrestle them in and out - probably 20kg+ each.

I'd been thinking of pulling out the motors etc - but doesn't sound like the end result will be that light. 20kg per pair is a lot more weight to save.

Lowered her 1.25". Looks perfect. Have room to adjust both ways so I can get a perfect setup
