Thanks, waiting on ups to deliver the connection piece before I can start the install process. My problem at the moment is getting the red o-ring around the throttle body to stay in place long enough to push it back on the intake manifold =/

a thin coat of motor oil should hold it in place...

i called fairbanks mazda to get the paint code of their new mx 5 copper red mica colored one. and going to get that ordered and start sanding on the car in a few days =D

Wetting the o-ring actually did the trick long enough for me to tighten things back down. Got the oil filter housing back on as well. Basically ready to put the replacement cylinder head on and put everything else back together.

im not sure what color to paint my side skirts and rear slotted valance and if i should remove the rubber bumper gaurds in the front and rear bumpers. hmmm

finally got it running on all 4 cylinders and stripped/painted most of the interior panels and plastics. took it out for the 1st time and discovered a 2.5l that chips em through 3rd gear- also very nicely balanced in the corners. so far this car my be one of my favorites ive ever owned.
