last night i started pulling the bottom of the motor apart so i can reseal it and install a new oil pump. It's really nice when your oil pump costs 79 bucks brand new from GM Performance Parts. Then i patted it goodnight and felt sorry for it sitting out in the cold under a cover with no heart...

Performed the 500 mile adjustment on the timing and balance shaft belts. Will now feel better about pressing the gas pedal to the floor. Not that my NA auto is a speed burner but it is fun to drive. Any curve, any time, any where.

Re-dyed my steering wheel....looks brand new. It was one of the easiest DIY things I've done. Took 2 hours, a $25 airbrush, 600 grit sandpaper and the steering wheel kit from Leatherique. It was in ruff shape when I started. I have enough to do about 3 more wheels too...awesome.

Tried to replace rear wiper motor
Tried to replace rear windshield wiper motor.... nope. bought the wrong one at a swap meet this morning... my bad. I assumed they were all the same (silly me... I should have known Porsche would pull a switch on me).
I bought 477 955 713 A... which is older. I need 944 628 030 01 which has a larger diameter post and spline for the wiper arm.
Now, before all you track people start telling me to simply delete the whole thing... my '91 S2 is a concours winner as well as an autocross champ. Gotta keep it somewhat stock per concours rules... on the track... what's a five-pound motor when the driver weighs 250?
So... WTB rear wiper motor 944 628 030 00 (or 944 628 030 01).

Today i pulled the flywheel off, pulled the oil pan and oil pump...found out that the oil pump won't work unless i get a new oil pickup tube, because the tube i have is the wrong diameter....so i think the pump is going back to summit racing to be exchanged for another that will hopefully work!
oh and i took some pictures of it being lonely out in the cold...
