got the engine buttoned up a little more: exhaust and motor mounts+crossmember mounted, flywheel+pressureplate+clutch+bellhousing+ref sensors, and started figuring out oil cooler attachments...

Washed it, kinda. And played with the euro bumper, I still can't get it to fit right. :/

Oh and worked on diagnosing the loud knocking noise in the rear.

Hello, I recently bought a 1988 Porsche 944. When i bought it the timing belt was broken ( apparently it had broken while idling), i quickly learned that the water pump was shot and that 7 valves were bent so over the past few months when i have had a spare moment i have been working on the car here are a few pictures

I have now replaced the water pump, installed the head and put on a new timing belt attached the distributor and turned over the engine to see if it would start, it started first try. Now i just have to install the balancing belt and then attach all the vacuum lines and so on.
