I put a battery in the 83 summer DD and drove it for the first time in 3 months. The other cars will have to wait for a few months yet. Very fun cars when you have not driven one for while. Started right up and ran and drove great. We have a car down otherwise I would have let it sit till spring.

Thank You! I accept being a dork, a dork who once again has a 944 to drive....

I almost called you before shooting the video just to share my happiness!

Brand new Bosch 159s (0280150159, stock is 0280150158)... same impedance as stock, but about 10cc higher flow rate! Got the full set for about $180..

I was surprised at how quiet they are too, and happily surprised no lifter tapping considering they were out of the cam tower for about a month!

Installed KLA strut mounts. Popping noise while steering gone and they look much nicer then the stock mounts.

FiveO it was! shipped a day after I ordered them, got them a few days later.. I was concerned about them, but they seem to be great!

I will keep everyone updated as I accrue miles again!

Getting ready to install balance shaft belt and connect all the vacume lines. This is actually my first 944 upgrade from my 87 jetta coupe when I got the car the air filter and most of the vacume lines had already been disconnected just wondering if any one has a schematic for the vacuum lines or some good pictures of everything In I can use as a refrence. I have the Porsche manual but most of the pictures are crap haha btw it's a 1988 944 n/a

Thought about an inch of ice on the ground and someone that does not know how to drive in weather slamming into my car. That makes me let it sit in storage for another 60 to 80 days. DAMN this hurts.....just wanna drive the car!!!!!!

Finally got one seat in. I desperately wanted them recovered with the Leathermate, but I couldn't afford that and would rather save the money for the bigger mechanical things I am sure I'll run into down the line. This will do for the time being. I also installed the seat now, as I was not completely satisfied with the cleaning of my steam cleaner. By putting the seat in now, it would remove the desire to buy all new carpet!!! Oh, and the cluster repair kit and led bulbs work phenomenal. Now I can see how fast I'm going (not that I cared before!)
Oh yes, and finally can regulate hot and cold air. Who would've thought a small piece of plastic would've fixed that? Unfortunately in Massachusetts, the extent of my driving was 3 feet!

I'm well underway with my speakerbox/rear seat area armrest. It's taken me all weekend to plan and construct these things. I have one complete, and the other is just over halfway. The pictures may make more sense when I get them installed. First pic shows them under construction, and other is one that is complete waiting for installation into the car.
I got the amp all wired and installed as well. I hope to have it all completed next weekend.

Removed the power steering rack from the parts car. Plan is to do the conversion to a 'manual' rack per these instructions over a couple fo nights this week since I have to be at work late anyway:

Started tearing apart the power steering rack. Here is a pic of the beginning.

Hopefully by Thursday night I will post a pic all clean and modified to manual set-up.
