Cleaned the interior, then tucked it back into the garage to wait out this two day ice/ sleet storm they are calling for... Damn Mother Nature...

removed instrument cluster and replaced globes with super bright LEDs and painted reflectors. Fitted new wiper delay adjuster/switch. fitted trunk cover hook. topped up oil after finally finding a source of Fuchs XTM. Fitted a replacement left hand sun-visor.

Used my lights last nite and my super bright LEDs just arent that bright. Have been told of some good LEDs, so may give them a try and I may fit old bulbs back in to see what respraying the reflectors did, but disappointed in results from yesterday

Glared angrily at my dented rocker panel, that mocks me every day.

What did you respray the reflectors with? You need to use more reflective coat in like aluminum foil glued on or duct sealing aluminum tape. Painting them doesn't work from what I have read.

Finally got it on my home made rotisserie and began scraping off the undercoating. That stuff really, really sucks.

drove down the road and got gas...first time i've been able to make it up/down my driveway in weeks...so it's the first time i've driven it. Also found out that i've got a leak into my glovebox, and it's not my battery tray cause i just checked that with a fine tooth comb

Finally got around, now that it's not quite so damn cold, to replacing my faulty thermofan switch. I've spent the past two months removing the fan relay every time I turn off the engine, in order to stop the constantly-running fans from draining the battery. And on this repeat of the cooling system drain procedure, I hardly got any antifreeze up my nose!

And for anyone else that does the job on a 944 Turbo: for me, it was a complete waste of time trying to remove the fan assembly to improve access to the thermofan switch... ended up replacing the dodgy item with the fans in situ (because, having removed the bolts holding them in place, various cooling or power steering bits made it impossible to get the fans out). I'd definitely recommend trying to do the job with the fans in place before you go to all the trouble of trying to get 'em out.

I used a chrome paint, as figured it couldn't make it any worse. I have seen a kit and am thinking I might try some reflective mylar I have, but need to get it sorted as just cant read instruments at night. I have nav built in to my HU so can see speed and am warned when speeding but would feel better being able to read temp guage etc

I used that $30 kit that is available and although it seems very costly for a piece of reflective cardboard that you can cut with a scissor 3 pieces of adhesive mylar and 3 new bulbs it worked very well and came out bright and clean.

Considering the cost of most other things that go into the car I have not regrets

You don't have a link to the kit or the name of site. $30 would be money well spent me thinks. Am really disappointed in LEDs as I think standard bulbs were brighter.
