Just a small write up. It'll make the wiring of the dash a breeze.

finally fixed my idle stumbling issue.

I had to replace the entire DME harness, but the problem appears gone. I also did an aligment on the car. Zero toe front and rear (down to the 1/32 accuracy) and -4.0 camber front and -2.5 rear.

Today's job is to fix a lower balance shaft seal leak.

I got a lot done today on my 44. Reinstalled the cam tower. The new gasket tore yesterday and I was going to order another one until I remembered I had Blue Racing Hylomar, so I applied a very thin coat to the head, put the gasket on and then another thin coat to the gasket before putting the cam tower back on. Torqued it all down and the timing mark was still at TDC. Installed the new timing and balancing belts, belt covers and crank pulley. Now to install the new outer belts, upper radiator hose, air cleaner assembly and fill up the fluids. Hope to finish it up next weekend.
Here are a couple of pictures. (I need to touch up the some of the paint on the cam tower, still):

It is coming along....

Belated as well, friday night my 17 yr old son squeezed the front quarter panel and passenger side wheel against the garage door frame. He had the horrible walk from the garage to the backyard (where I sat enjoying an ice cold adult beverage) to tell me he went to move it in to shoot some hoops and misjudged the space. He is just starting to drive the manual porsche.

Lots of exterior latex on the "Guards Orange"....I spent Fathers Day weekend with the 3M Perfect it compoound and the white 3m foam buffing pad, glaze and 2 coats of wax. Arguably could have gone the wet sand route, but was hesitant with the quality of the crappy respray. It looks great, most of the dent popped out with my fingers, the rest you can't see. A couple of scrapes on my 911 17"x7", nothing a bit of Wurth won't take car of.

Ordered new rotors, pads and an caliper rebuild kits for the front...thinking of a lapping track session on the 30th.

Wash, vacumn and wax today. looks much nicer! Compared to my 2005 jetta, I can't believe how many more nooks, crannies and body seams there are on the 944!

Let me think, installed P/S pump and reservoir, alternator, starter, clutch slave cylinder, coolant pipe to heater core, connected some vacuum lines, and ran the alternator and power cables. Got a list of work tomorrow about as long.

OK, I am a couple of days late, busy week. Monday: 4 inch big flow exhaust, and a lindsey dual port wastegate. Tuesday: AEM wideband AFR gauge, boost gauge and MBC. Then I took off the intake. Wednesday: quad 4 MAF, new plugs wires and distributer cap, all new hoses and vaccum lines. Today, had to go back to work, so my baby is sitting there with the intake still off!

Finished the motor today. Replaced the cam tower gasket, timing belt, water pump, balancing belt, coolant overflow tank, windshield washer tank, washer motor, outer belts, vacuum lines, painted the intake and cam tower and replaced the rear hatch gasket. This took a couple of weekends to do.
Today, I put the rest of the parts on the motor and got it running. Tomorrow, I am going to hopefully do the front brakes and give it a bath.
