Bought A New Toy Today - Porsche Got Bumped From Her Normal Garage Spot
X-Post From OT:
Bought a John Deere tractor. As some of you may remember from previous posts, I just built a new house and have about 1.5 acres of hills to mow with a push mower. I've been able to keep up with cutting the grass using the push mower so far but I'm afraid that the driveway and walkway are going to be too much to shovel when the snow breaks so I broke down and bought a tractor.
It's not pictured (on order) but I bought a John Deere 53" 2 stage front end attached snow blower that I'll use to blow the drive and sidewalks. I lived here for about 1/2 the winter last year after the house was completed and had the honor of shoveling snow from Feb on... it was to say the least impossible to stay on top of it as we absolutely got hammered last year. The amount of snow (including lake affect snow... the forecasters think they are two different things around here) we get in SW Michigan is substantial to say the least.
Well it appears that winter is fast approaching here as we got our first hard frost October 1st already. That being said I relocated the Porsche to the end of the garage (or back depending on how you look at it). If my older brother hadn't told me to make my garage deeper that the original plans I'd be in a bind for sure with all my toys but it is just fine for now. After all my other interior projects get done on the house I need to build a nice tool shed with a cement floor for all the garden stuff that seems to take up so much space in the garage. That way the Porsche can go back to it's proper place
As you can see in the last pic, Winston is laying next to it and taking a nap. When the John Deere dealer dropped it off and pulled it in the drive he went nuts. I think it was the diesel motor sound. He bit one of the tires and then proceeded to pee on it. This picture is after I pulled it inside and he ran out of gas or should I say collapsed They are currently in counseling in an attempt to keep the peace!
Looking forward to using the tractor as it's rained nonstop since it was delivered Friday.

Re-installed my MAF, tightened my Turbo coolant pipe banjo bolt (to rid myself of the last coolant leak I believe..) installed my CPR clear rear lenses, installed my new revision Zietronix controller, installed new WBO2 sensor, retuned DME for the MAF...
Now to figure out why my friggin MBC is acting up... can't boost over 13PSI.... I need to get an EBC like there is no tomorrow... but need a new WG first... the one in my car now is tired...

Tried to race it... no love. Damn thing won't shift. So we bled the fluid, cleaned the reservoir, bled the fluid, nada. Drained the trans fluid and it looks fine, is only 6 months old anyway.
Linkage is fine, trans is new, bla bla. Seems like it must be the clutch. Nothing like spending $300 on two laps around the track. Might try a trans swap tomorrow before I give up on the race

Today I changed my blower motor cover (it was all cracked up and even had a nice size hole in it) I vacuumed out a bunch of leaves underneath the cover along with some dog food ( why it was there Ill never know) and installed the KLA Cabin filters while I was in there.

I changed my tie rod ends. It's the first time I've ever done it. I'm just hoping I did it correctly Now I just need to change my front and rear A arm bushings on my passenger side, replace my shocks and get an alignment.

drove it and realized i'm loosing oil from the engine and gaining oil in the belly pan. it seems to be forming under the oil sender area. i hope its this at fault and not my newly installed rear main seal...
