I cracked the hose tee attached to the J-boot, and now I'm shopping for a new one.

Finished mounting the speakers/boxes, and ran all the wiring. I have the amp mounted in the drivers side "trunk well" and the carpet covers everything up nice and neat. OK so the wiring is not pretty. I still need to cut the wires to length, and I need to find a shorter RCA connector cable so I don't have loose wire tucked down in there, but that will be for another day when I feel like breaking out the soldering iron and making the wires/connectors "Just long enough"

Sounds pretty good too! I look forward to spending a bit of time listening to music, and getting the balancing setup.

Finally got the car on the road, it ran great first time I started it but now it idels like crap, I have to give it gas when I start it or it dies. The gas is a year old and could have moisture In it. Any one else run into this problem.
I have never driven a 944 but wow it's dark I'n the interior, also I think the light for changing gears is burnt out, does it only shine I'n the dash or do the letters on the shifter light up also

Stop driving the car, and change the gas and your fuel filter. 1yr old gas is going to cause you much more problems if you keep running it. Unless you have a spare set of clean injectors laying around.

THEN enjoy driving it.

yes, it's pretty dark. no, the shifter doesn't light up. and the 'shift light' is only there for fuel economy, on low-speed driving it will calculate and tell you to upshift if possible to get better mileage. not a "shift light" like you're used to.

There was only one third a tank left so I filled it up with premium and put a bottle of methonal hydrate? I think that's what it's called. ( removes the moisture from the gas) do you think that could be the cause of the problem or one of the factors.

I think it could be a vacume line most of the lines were off when I got the car so my dad and I have had fun trying to work out were they all go. I was searching the forms and some one said it could be them temp sensor on the engine block.

Just trying to get more ideas to try out incase it's none of these thank you for putting up with a new 944 owner

Ordered more parts. Then I drove it for a few days while my other car was in the shop. Luckily it's been nice here.

Put new valve stem caps on the new wheels/ tires (ooh, tough job) and then replaced the rear sunroof receiver in the sunroof before I realized the other side was cracked as well (why didn't I buy one for both sides?)

Checked oil leak again - still the tiniest of drops on the largest oiler cooler bolt. Also some oil on an area directly below oil cooler (don't think it was a drip from above). not sure how to approach this.

Replaced and clipped last brake sensor.

THis weekend's events:
change transmission fluid, replace and re-align hardware for both sides of sunroof arms, install new spark plug wires, (continue thinking about that small oil leak), re-run and install hood release cable, mount tires and lower car.

If all that works out, then shampoo and clean driver's side of car and install driver's seat. Winter projects will be complete. Holy crap!

Summer project: refinish and paint phone dials.
