More layers of FG on sub box, and should get a few more on today. Cleaned area where space saver spare wheel goes, and under rear carpet. No one will ever see it but I know it's shiny under there. oh and I drove like I stole it for little bit

I fitted a new leather gear shift boot, that I had ordered from UK. I also got the RHD console lid(from same supplier in UK) I had ordered, but turns out its 85.1 not 85.2 I then decided to modify the LHD lid I had, and have that fitted now. I also ran cables for Iphone into the console. I also tightened the e-brake fitting and reconnected the light, so now have a working dash light for it. PO had disconnected it and fitting was loose.
I am about to do some more work on sub box and also start fabricating a centre for the steering wheel. I plan to make a little piece that fits over it covered in Carbon Fibre, and having a Porsche crest in centre.

Thought I would give you guys something to laugh about.
I'm putting the dash back together after altering the cluster for better illumination. I put the surrounding trim piece back in, press the tripometer and it doesn't reset to zero. Rip all that apart, realign the square piece behind the button, put the trim back in still doesn't reset. Go through the process a third time when I realize the power has to be on!!! What a babboon!
Then, reinstalling the rest of the dash with a new clock and new ac control unit, I realize I put the old ac unit in.
This just isn't my day (but everything is at least back together and working right.

Well it is too cccccooooold outside to work in the garage, so I decided to buy parts instead.
Picked up a new 2/3/4 channel amp, a compact kicker sub box that fits nicely in the trunk, and a pair of 4" speakers that I plan on installing into some custom made armrests for the back seat area of the car.
I already made the protype out of cardboard to get the size/fit/measurements that I need. The armrest is there only to act as a housing to place the speakers.
My car has no provision for speakers in that location, as the retractable roof collapses down into the area where the backside of the speaker would be.
Yeaaaah. I'm going to be a speaker box builder again. Due to the size, it will be a challenge to build. The armrest idea came to me, because I want the part to look like it has more purpose than to just hold a speaker. I will wrap the whole thing in a matching vinyl to the custom side panel already there.
I hope this works...

I fixed one of the seat mounts on the floor and installed the passenger seat. I broke it when I removed the seats a few weeks ago. Will do the drivers seat tomorrow.

Please tell me how you did this! One of mine is broken and it's so annoying to have only three bolts in instead of four.
