Matt. Its New Zealand remember - Downunder - land of upside down - where 964s and Mark 1 GT3' sg o down not up in value like UK, Europe & USA LOL!!!!

John here's a few pictures of your next car when I looked at it in Singapore in November 2004....first owner was Weng (search him on RL). I walked away after talking to Weng. I have the original .xls work up and landed it would have owned me 110K NZD early 2005.

Total I think its definately worthy of strong consideration. It has been raced pretty much all of its life make no mistake and has plenty of non "original" parts but its a good long term buy I suspect....

Thanks Macca, I'll let Simon be the voice of reason. It will likely drive like a bag of soggy you know what's.

Ooooh - pure **** (for a grey interior) - I just ordered the black carpet mats through Giltraps and have installed a black 3 spoke wheel.

Worse still the car was involved in quite a bad accident back in 2004. Jamie will recall - Robert Dong bought this car (deposit down was to fly up to drive it down) and the Independent Prestige sales buy basically totalled it taking it down the road to have some work done on it Rob asked to be done. The car was repaired by Haslers and Robert asked me to inspect their work before he flew up. He flew up, drove it and said its wasnt right. He should know he's owned a 993Rs (and still does). Moved his deposit immediately to a 996.1 GT3 at Gillies and drove that home (we had lunch together in Grey Lynn before he left).

If there is a single 993 C4S worth 100k+ in NZ it is the low mileage red one at CCS in the underground car park next to my GT3 which was shipped from the factory with 3.8 engine, low kms, high spec and still with original owner.

Pays to know aye!

John you might be surprised. Back then it drive very hard and like a race car. I wanted a minter road car so it wasnt for me. Jon Potts did heaps of work on this car for Mark so call him to discuss it. Its has spherical jointed rear arms and RSS stuff on it. To be honest its probably a great track rat for your for 45K. It will always be a 996.1 GT3 after all. If you wanted an upgrade on the 964 for track work this car with a geo and maybe a few bits here and there will be good for 1.14s at HD! No cheaper way tp get there if you want a road legal with aircon car and good medium term residuals.

Here are some pictures of it from when Robert bought it. Looks a bit tacky with the "RS" badge. Actually Robert struggled to tell it had the 3.8 in it and as it wasnt factory built that way Eric Waanders was pulled into discuss if indeed the kit had been fitted to this car after it was imported (its registered as the 3.6L it was when it was imported).

Porsche practicality. Could be someones next SITT setup. Anything the fastest street cars in the US can do, tow trailers and then run 6's, a GT3 can do better.
