Easter North Island coastal road trip
I've finally got around to captioning photos of our annual Easter 2 week road trip. This year we started in Wellington and toured the West Coast to Cape Reinga then down the far north East coast to Waiheke. Found some very nice roads amongst it all too.

It looks like the targa'ed and rolled GT3 is being flipped for a profit (well trying to anyway)

If it's the car I'm thinking (the red MkII that was on TM for yonks about 6 months ago) then yes was in a MAJOR targa accident, and the reason that it didn't sell, even when advertised at $75K.
But.........I could be wrong, it could be another red Mk II with similar km's.

I don't think I could ever tire of our fabulous scenery, roads and going on road trips John. Been thinking about next year quite a bit including Easter. At this stage I've got our family Easter road trip (current thinking is overland through Molesworth and tramping through the Able Tasman National Park) as well as a RSG South Island tour to think about :-). How to swing both?

Had a quick look at the AIM data:
I split my data out, because I'm so much slower it hides the interesting differences between Chris B (red, 1:18.226 2-up) and Steve R (blue, 1:17.293 2-up): https://i.imgur.com/Of5mj9w.png
- T1 sweeper looks good (quicker than SR on entry)
- CB gains a little mid T2/T3, but...
- SR gains 0.2s during exit of T3
- SR gains 0.18s entering T4/T5 (new chicane)
- SR gains slightly during the T7 setup (0.02s)
- SR major gains of 0.6s through T8 sweeper, big speed difference entering, and carries 6-7kph more coming out (looks like you let off at the end of that lap since it was the last of the session, but it only cost you a few hundredths)
- slight gain to going to fifth on the straights? clearer on the back straight; certainly not a negative change and easier on the car

- slower everywhere, except not too bad in and out of the hairpin (T6)
- need more practice, roll on the 31st!

Looks like my big accident coming over the hill on to the front straight a few years ago is still playing back in my head so definitely a lot of work to do there for me.
You can see where your time is as well now, so at the end of the month you can have most of the day if you want. I will just grab 1 session and see if I can clear my head coming over the hill and try 5th.

I've clocked up 8,500km in the SITT and our Easter trip and glad to have my first weekend at home again. Another weekend at home next week then we're off for the NI Targa Tour. Doug its a nice colour combo but Id have to see it in natural light. I like Grigio on a 355 but not sure it works as well on a 996...
