Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?
Three Wheelin'
Doug must be the easiest weight loss there is. question is how far to go and is it worth trying for those last few kg? with the latest high density foams comfort no longer and issue for period shell type seats.

Yes, I don't like the look of race seats in the 964. Might be Porsche snobbery creeping in. I'd be interested in ideas for something light weight that had a look a bit more like the old 964/993 sports seats.
I'm only going 7/10ths so not really needing to save weight.

Maybe a new geo too - I understand you have softened for the road.

Yes proof from yesterday (As I won't be repeating next weekend at PCNZ sprints with no insurance on the day).

Yesterday was a 'lapse', it's been 4-5 months since I have been to HD and needed a 'fix'.................

She's hardened up again for the track. I'm in no rush to see a grown man cry but it's tempting to put on the 17" r888s

Hey, what's with the Herman like single seat look? You already have 100kg on me with the lack of C4 paraphernalia. I can only hope the heavens open up...

This will make it easier.
Total 993 in NZ estimated 185 cars including imports. Assume 65% manual
Total 964 in NZ estimate 280 cars assume 50% manual
Sean. Yes there was 1 x NZ 993GT2 sold here - ex Bill Farmer I have pictures of the car in road trim somewhere. It was sent to UK to be build into Newman LeMans contender for the kiwi team. He also ordered another but it was delivered in UK and I dont believe was C16 thus not part of NZ stats.
Stats below direct from EMD.

So the Le Mans racing effort was a 2 car team. Note that they are both LHD:
Photo taken at the 1995 Auckland Motor Show:
Here are both cars at Le Mans:
But here is the interesting thing, here is a RHD 993 GT2 attending Racing Rays attempt at the NZ Land Speed Record in 1995:
This car was first registered in August 1995 and removed from NZ in August 1999.
As a side note, how many RHD 993 GT2 were built? I have read 7 to the UK? These UK figures always seem to morph into ROW figures. Also I understand the 993 ran for 2 or 3 model years 1995-97 (172 produced) and 1998 (21 produced) Were RHD models built in both runs? Or was the shorter run LHD only?

If I had a full tank of gas (shepherding the level for the optimum on Sunday ), I'd suggest we drive out to the refuse transfer station and weight Lola and Herman to see what the real work difference is these days.
